Very quick response to my email request for quote, which included photos of the repair work requested. Work was scheduled via phone and completed on the date and time arranged with no delays. No problems with the quality of the work or cleanup after completion.

I had purchased a big deal and the service was not too good. I would not recommend them. The man was good, but he did not complete the work. I brought out 2 chairs before the 4 hours were over, and he was upset. Although he dabbed away, I could see that he was not happy. He didn't paint between the legs, and as I talked to him, he painted a little more. He was blasting his radio, and I wasn't real happy with it. He painted the table which is handmade, and he didn't paint in between the legs. He was reluctant to do the chairs, because he said that he thought he was done. I think it wasn't an A1 job. I thought the price was quite high for what they did. The things he did were okay, but he didn't do all of them. We had to wait for months to get an appointment. I got the special deal on the internet, and it was 4 hours of painting for $300, and he didn't know that that was the deal we had. I am not sure what he knew. We didn't get a full 4 hours, and the other problem we had was in scheduling. We wanted him to come after the patio had dried, and it had rained the day before, so he still painted it anyway. The guy was a little bit of a hippie, but that was okay.

VERY well. Excellent company and I am very pleased with their service. I DEFINITELY would use them again. They always contacted me to set up a good time to perform the work, came EXACTLY on time, and did an excellent/professional job. I would use them again, 100%. A+++++++ - Dr. Anthony Meram

OK, but some areas were not cleaned adequately in my view.

Everything was great, and I had no problems with the service. The crew was very thorough, showed on time, and didn't leave behind any messes. The house looked great afterwards.

The service turned out fine. It was like a 4 out of 5. It wasn't perfect, it was satisfactory, and we didn't have any issues. It was an honest transaction and the service was good. I think they were friendly, and did good business.

The process started out very well with a quick response and good quote. I had three contractors bid and although F & H was not the lowest, I felt good with them doing the job. They showed up when they said they would and everything seemed good. That is when it went south. They were very sloppy and careless in their application of the paint. I will keep it to the most grievous of their errors -- they over sprayed over 10% of my roof. If that is not bad enough, they tried to cover it up with spray paint or removing the paint with goo gone and paint remover... You can imagine what that does to shingles. In the end, I will say that he made it right by essentially paying to have the shingles replaced, but it was not his first instinct. As a side note -- he also ruined one of my ornamental trees, sprayed over light bulbs and various other minor carelessness. I would not hire or recommend him for another job.

He was prompt and very good. He was there when he would. He did what he said he'd do. He was fast, efficient and good.

They did a good job. They were very nice. I will have them come back.

We used F&H a few years ago on a different home and were very impressed with how tidy and professional they were. This time they seemed very rushed, they attempted to do the entire 3200 sq. ft home in one day. With the fading light they started getting sloppy and missed entire sections due to poor lighting conditions. They came back and fixed all these areas but it was disappointing to have to ask them to come back for this. Also we had a lot of paint splatter and uneven lines which we did not experience last time. The caulk on the outside of our kitchen windows didn't last one week before it cracked and my husband had to go out and re-caulk it. (which also means re-painting it). Fred was very quick to respond to my emails and they did come back out to fix the problem areas but not much can be done about the splatter on our patio and the overall sense that this job just wasn't very important to them.

F&H is our painter for the last few years. They are always reliable, professional and trustworthy. Prices are very competitive. Payment is due after service has been performed and inspected by the homeowner. They have their own specialist to perform woodwork, siding, painting and roofing. Throughout the years, F&H replaced my siding with Hardy board, painted the house and the deck and touched up the interior walls. If there were areas that didn't pass my inspection, they were always fixed the same day.

Power washed exterior of a colonial home with aluminun siding. He is on time and did a great job. Good deal.

F&H was offering a power washing deal that I purchased. Within 48 hours they had contacted me and gave me a preliminary schedule (within 2 weeks), then they finalized the schedule and performed the services. There were two workers that showed up each with ladders and power washing equipment. They quickly divided the house up and got to work. They were both very courteous, fast and thorough. They may have been sub-contracted but regardless, they did great work!

They showed up on time and did the work. Two guys showed up and the head guy was good & excellent. His worker took a lot of breaks. The incharge guy was very good, but the guy who did the work was a little lazy. One guy was late.

They did a fantastic job. They finished in a couple of days and completely cleaned everything up when they finished. The house looks like we have new siding. They painted our aluminum siding.

I didn?t hear anything from the provider after I purchased the deal online on July 5th. Given the holiday weekend, I waited to call him until July 8th and left a message when I didn't receive a call yet. When we talked, he couldn?t give me an exact date but he thought it would be within the period I needed. I called again (July 12) and he again said he still couldn?t give me a date. I was hoping to get the work done no later than July 19th so I?ve started to look elsewhere. After I cancelled, he told me the reason he couldn't give a date was that his crew was sick (which wasn't previously stated to me). Also he said the $250 rate I paid was a "spring special" and he didn't know Angies List was still offering it. I cancelled and found another supplier. Later I got a letter from F&H asking me to remove my rating or provide an explanation because, in his words, "I did not commit to the job, want the job or agree to the job", and went on with a whole paragraph about this. [I have since changed the F rating to a D] and updated my remarks here. In summary, he could have told me on day 1 that he didn't want the job he offered on Angie's List that I accepted and paid for online. Probably just a misunderstanding ... better communication would have been helpful.

I think the flood of Angie's List customers stretched them a little thin. They did a good job, but it took a few return trips to get it all right. Now this may have been some miscommunication on both parts. The job did turn out good, not great, but good.

Very well explained and showed all painting completed..

The gentleman, Joe, who power-washed my home arrived earlier than expected, but this was no problem for me. He was ready to go and with just a bit of set up, began power-washing my vinyl-sided, two-story home. He was very careful around my flower beds and didn't step on or crush any of my bedding plants. Once he was finished, he put my hose back and took me around to view his work. In addition, he showed me a couple places where my siding was loose and should be repaired. I was very pleased and happy to see the real color of my pale yellow siding for the first time (I just bought my home not quite a year ago)! I would use F & H again for the same work.

We had a good experience with this company. They came out promptly and performed the service while we were at work. We would not have even known they were here except for our nice, clean siding. Even our neighbors noticed.

Tradesman arrived promptly, worked independently, cleaned up completely and left unobtrusively.

They were very prompt and they gave a fair price. It was more expensive than I thought but overall, they were punctual and I never had one issue with them. They did a double coat instead of a single coat. They did the work that they said they were going to do. They guaranteed the work and I had some issues with the paint, it looked like it was peeling and they came out and fixed it, it was not an issue. I used them about a month later to do my daughter’s bedroom and it was perfect. I referred them to my friends, they used them, and they were very pleased with them.

F&H Painting were real good. They taped up real nice and cleaned up nice. They were very timely and did a very good job. I'll be using them again.
