Bat Removal and Prevention, Inc. was contacted on 9/13/17out of concern about seeing squirrels climbing up the exterior front brick wall and hearing scratchy noises in the walls of my house. I was reassured that the company could deal with wildlife like squirrels. The inspector came on 9/22 and proposed remedies and repairs amounting to $950. The work was performed later in October and according to the invoice, included “completely seal structure of potential re entry points”. The inspector also assured that 12 months warranty is provided on all the services performed. Six months later, I have contacted Bat Removal with the same concern. We saw squirrels climbing up the same wall, along the same path. Kelly, the office manager, was very responsive, returned my calls and answers very quickly – the same day or next. However, instead of honoring previous work, Bat Removal presented a new proposal and $2,849 cost associated with it. Kelly explained that the original inspector did not detect any squirrels, was not qualified in wildlife, and is no longer with the company. Despite that, I paid the first bill in full and was facing the same problem several months later. After my numerous phone calls, the company insists on solving the problem in September 2017, refusing to acknowledge the fact that the problem was left unsolved after charging $950 and offering me to hire Bat Removal to treat the squirrels for $2,849. I was trying to reason with the company and propose a cost sharing solution where previous payment be applied and responsibility be shared. Unfortunately, the company stopped communicating with me at that point and lost any interest in me as a customer.

We sold our home and during the inspection phase of the sale, the inspectors discovered that a colony of bats had taken up residence in our home. We called BR&P and they came right out and provided an immediate assessment and quote to resolve the issue. We hired them to remove the bat colony and droppings in our attic. As the bats are hibernating this time of year, they installed the one-way exit tubes for the bats to escape and removed the bat guano. Additionally, we paid for them to block all entry points into the attic space to prevent further invasions. The new owners will call them back at the end of May to remove the tubes and the job will be done! BR&P was very professional throughout the entire removal process. We would hire again without question!

It took them forever to come out. When they did come out, they said they didn't have the traps with them so they'd have to come back to set them. All they did was put a screen over the top of the hole. They said they also couldn't remove the mice. They said since they couldn't remove the mice they would set traps for free. This was supposed to be included anyways. I felt it was very misleading. The fact that they didn't know exactly what the deal covered was very upsetting. They were also supposed to come back to fix the hole. They planned to only nail a board over the hole. They said the would have to charge another $400 to make the hole look nice. They never came back so I hired someone else to fix the hole instead. I felt like we spent $700 just to put a screen over a hole. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone else.

"Hello (member name removed), Great to talk to you on the phone today in regards to this review. Again, I'd like to remind you of the package details that were listed on the deal you purchased. The deal was titled "$699 for Complete Rodent Control and Protection Package". The "Here's the Deal" listed the following: 1. Complete interior and exterior evaluation of your home to determine the presence and cause of any rodent activity 2. Installation of rodent control plan specific to your home's needs 3. Setting and baiting traps using a variety of proven methods 4. Technician will return one or two more times as necessary within 30 days to replace and/or relocate traps 5. First treatment session application is free with this offer 6. Also covers removing of rodents and sealing off of entry points I think where your confusion started is on detail #3 "setting traps". I think your assumption was that this included trapping of ANY and ALL wildlife we find in your home. However, the deal you purchased specifically states "RODENT" as its title and does not mention any other wildlife. You would have needed to purchase the other deal we have advertised titled "$150 for Live Animal Trapping and Relocation" to have covered any other wildlife at your home. In addition, your concern over the "screen over the top of the hole" you mention was a temporary solution until you approved the additional work needed to correctly remedy this problem. As you are aware, we are still in the process of competing repairs to your home as many rodent and wildlife damage was found. Lastly, our initial inspection of your home was to determine the rodent activity. We DID have appropriate traps for the rodents, but the traps needed to relocate any other wildlife were not brought with us since your package bought was not for "wildlife" but for the "rodent" program. Now that it has been determined and agreed upon that you do also have a wildlife problem, yes, additional and different traps have been used and will be needed. I hope that this was all covered in our phone conversation as well as in this response. And that your concerns have been responded to in a timely manner. As you mentioned on the phone, we look forward to continuing the work started at your home and completing our contract with you! -- Bat Removal & Prevention, Inc."

Buyer Beware. The crew came out when expected, however did not complete the job because storms rolled in. I was home and they were here at tops 20 minutes. The owner stated that the job was compete. He then called back and said he would take 1/2 the price because there was a section that did not get finished. He made no attempt to come back and complete the job, instead threatening a lien on our home if we did not pay. So we paid under threat.
Update: Today we had a very reputable service out with a team of two and they used 48 tubes of caulk and said that there was no indication of prior caulking on the house. They were very knowledgeable and will be back in the fall to remove the exits.

Very quick response to initial request for inspection in June of 2013 and to quote price, came the next day did the job and left. I called back two days later too report I still had a problem with the bats and needed someone to come back out, they came out the next day any put more supposed repellent on the areas of the porch where the bats would hang during the day. This did not work either, after two days of calls to Ron's office Ron finally called back. I explained that I now had a group of eight bats hanging on my porch and wanted someone to come out and remove them, he said they did not relocate bats but would try a new product to repel the bats he had just purchased. This was done the next day by one of his employees, who was very polite and applied the new solution. My fault for not inspecting the porch before he left as the porch area was a mess. After about two days we no longer had bats on the porch but my wife was still hearing noise in the attic above our bedroom and I needed someone out to inspect the attic. After two weeks of trying to get a response from Ron I got his office and left a message with his employee that I wanted to know when he would have someone out and what we was going to about the stain on by bricks and the cement porch, never got a response. There was supposed to be a follow up visit to remove the exit door from the attic and inspect for the fall that never happened either. Finally in late September or October I received a voice mail message from Ron stating he had been very busy and apologized for not getting back and if I needed any more assistance to contact him(Ya Right). I won't until spring if this service has really worked or not but if I have bats coming back you can bet I won't be calling Bat Removal and Prevention Inc. One last thing finally in October I received my billing marked payment past due which was odd since I had not been invoiced for the service in the first place, corrected that through his office help also.

Everything went well. After I called this company, a date was set up for them to come and do the inspection. The guy arrived on time, and was very nice. He went up into the attic to look for bats, and to see if there would need to be any kind of guano clean up. He told us there was almost no guano up there. At the time, the few bats that were up there were hibernating. Before he left, he installed a one-way door for them to exit once they came out of hibernation. Once the weather warms up enough and they all leave, we will take down the one-way door ourselves and re install the piece of over hang siding-although if someone could not do it themselves, the company would send someone back out to do it.
I should add, that the way the bats were getting in was through gaps in the soffits of our house, which we had repaired back in the fall, and unfortunately, this caused the bats to be sealed in. When the guy from Michigan Bat Control did his inspection, he checked to make sure there were no more entrances for bats to get back in, and he found none.
Overall, we are very pleased with this company's service. The cost is a small price to pay to have the bats leave and not be able to return. I would definitely recommend this company.

It went very well. I called on Sunday and was called back promptly. He came the next day, Monday, and examined problem, went up on my roof which is quite steep and chimney is quite high, rising about 8 to 10 feet over roofline. Ron put the one way door into place within an hour. It costs $208. He explained how bats behave and what to expect. He is returning a few weeks to replace the door with a screen which he will caulk around to prevent further reentry. He guarantees his work for five years. He was prompt, professional and very courteous.
