484The subs did an uneven and poor job so rain gets almost an inch deep in areas,
it's not graded properly towards the street so it doesn't drain properly and calls and texts were
answered "they would get to it", and lie after lie became the rule. No
one ever fixed the problem. Even the neighbor commented on what a crap
job it is. $4800 for a driveway with humps and valleys. I would never
recommend them. I have tried repeatedly to get some resolution and all
Susan would say was that her subs would take care of it. They took care
of it by never contacting us no matter how many times (over 15) that I contacted Susan Belt.

Upon inspection after the job was complete, I noticed the rubber in the cracks had receded and was brittle. I called the contractor and questioned the crack fill material. Susan responded " we only use rubberized products on places like Wendy's and McDonalds, we use gator product on your parking lot" she then offered to come back and use the same inferior product blaming its failure on the heat we just experienced. Or I could pay an additional amount for a rubberized product.
I discovered what the problem was with this job, this company flat out lied about what they did. Their crew removed some dry grass from my cracks, then filled the cracks with sand, yes sand and then seal coated right over everything. Rubberized crack fill was never used nor gator product, just plain old sand and seal coat. I contacted the contractor and asked about this, of course it was DENIED until I told them I have it on VIDEO CAMERA, the whole thing!! They then of course offered to come back and redo the cracks with a rubber product.
At this point I made it very clear I wanted to be present when they redo my cracks. ( I don't trust them)
Guess what, they snuck in without calling and took a shortcut again. Instead of removing the inferior product and cleaning out my cracks and all that sand they just used a rubber product over the old stuff. Problem is, there is not proper adhesion in the cracks to avoid water penetration which would cause problems in the winter.

In addition, this company did a lousy job on edging on two sides of my lot. They said that crack wasn't included. I'm still a little puzzled about that response.

Here's where we are today. I refuse to pay until the job is corrected and completed in full according to our contract.
They are not willing to correct their mistakes because it is very involved. Things like digging out sand in major cracks, this will also ruin the striping and some areas of the seal coat. This will basically mean a re do for the most part.

They offered to knock off $200 for the crack filling

I countered with, I'll have another company clean up your mess and redo my lot the correct way, and if there is any money left over I'll send it your way.
They countered with a lein on my building and their suppliers suing for payment of supplies

They did such a good job that a couple other people that have looked at my driveway now use them for the same service.  The workers are as friendly and honest as can be.  It is a very high quality service for a fair price.
