"When I originally inspected the basement on 1-28-17 I found water leaking from a wall along the concrete steps leading to the basement. On February 24th 2017 we installed our Drain Eze system with drain tubing and stone to an existing sump. We also wrapped the leaking wall with a 25mil vinyl as seen in one photo. This vinyl wrap, (Aqua Shield,) forces any leaks into our Drain Eze, then into the drain tubing and ultimately to the sump. Breaking out thick concrete steps is going to create some dust. We always use plastic to seal our work area from the rest of the basement and the house. This is my first knowledge that any dust appeared anywhere throughout other areas of the home, in particular the upstairs living area. It seems curious that Ms. [Member Name Removed] has never mentioned this to myself or either of my offices. Upon one of my returns I discovered that water was now coming from under the concrete slab at the top step. This water, as visible in the photos, can flow down the steps and onto the basement floor giving the illusion that it is coming from all the steps or from the wrapped wall. However, this is not the case. The house addition was built over the said slab. The back door is within 6 feet of the top of the steps. Outside this door is a rain gutter downspout that goes nowhere. It is this downspout that is causing the added problem. Although we addressed the wall leakage, the slab leakage remained unseen until winter was over. Even though our warranties expressly address it is the homeowners responsibility to maintain working gutters and downspouts, I was willing to help Ms. [Member Name Removed] by extending the bad downspout approximately 100 feet to a catch basin at our expense. Then on or about April 30 Ms. [Member Name Removed] informed me that she had corrected the downspout. That was the last time I have heard from her, and assumed any further water issues had been abated. The claim that we have not return her calls is nonsense by her own admission. I have inspected her problem on more than one occasion, and offered a solution at our expense on another occasion, only to be told she addressed her own problem. Its all very confusing. However, we are still willing to resolve this issue. Rick J. Jacobs"
"When it comes to this job site and the issue in which this previous customer refused to mention in this review had nothing to do with the system we put in. In fact he had a leaking hose that was left underneath his front porch that eventually flooded so badly it made it's way back in to the basement creating a bigger issue then he had previously. We stand true to our word as a company and yes made many trips out there to help this gentleman and show him that the issue was because of poor maintenance of house hold duties and not the work we had done for him. When it came to speaking with him and the realization of the hose being left under the porch he quickly became angered and it resulted with him verbally insulting the Company and our crew members. Rick Jacobs who is owner and head Inspector of the Company took over the situation as professional as possible and spoke sternly to the customer over the unfortunate incident to make sure it was clear not to speak or treat the crew poorly again. We went out of our way to help this customer and in the end unfortunately after extending our efforts in making him happy, we failed. We appreciate the feed back and trust our crew members and inspectors to complete any job with the 100% satisfaction of any of our Customers."
"Thank you Ms. [Member Name Removed] for your kind review. We strive to install the best systems available. We are always looking for new products not only to provide for excellent waterproofing, but also to help keep our customers cost as low as possible. Rick"
