Overall, i was very impressed with the professionalism and skilled work performed by the owner Tim and his crew. The moment I called to get a quote, I knew I had made the right decision. Tim was very courteous, professional and accommodating. I was able to schedule a visit for my home the next day. The day of the quote I was very surprised to get a call from Tim saying that he was on the way and he gave me an estimated time of arrival. Right after I greeted him at my door, he put on some shoe covers before he set foot into my house. I was extremely impressed with this action. Tim then proceeded to inspect the inside of my chimney, the basement portion of my chimney, the outside portion of the chimney that was covered within my garage and the portion of the chimney that was above the roof. He told me that the chimney portion that was outside and above the roof was the only part that need to be replaced. He said there were a lot of broken and missing bricks and the chimney did not have a cap. He said the inside of the chimney and the outside of the chimney within the garage and the base of the chimney in the basement looked really good and didn't need any repair. However, he did say that the damper inside the chimney needed to be replaced, especially since it easily fell off in his hand. He suggested installing a damper above the chimney cap with a chain inside the chimney and anchored near the indoor fireplace door for easy access. His quote was extremely reasonable and within my budget. His honesty and professionalism is what set him apart from the 4 other chimney repair quotes I had received. I scheduled to have my chimney repaired a few weeks later. Since I was planning to have my roof replaced, Tim suggested that I get a date for that first then call him to schedule a date for the chimney repair. Once the roof date was set, Tim and his crew came a few days before and repaired my chimney. On the scheduled day for the chimney repair, Tim called me to say he was on the way and gave an estimated time of arrival. Tim and his crew immediately began tearing down the chimney. I had to leave my house right after they arrived so I didn't get to watch the whole procedure. However, a few minutes later, I did get a call from Tim saying that they discovered carpenter ants behind the chimney next to the roof eaves. He said I needed to call a pest control company. Other than that, Tim said everything was going well. The first things I noticed when I came back home was the finished chimney with the new cap and the new bricks that closely matched the color of the remaining bricks that didn't need to be replaced. The chimney looked absolutely perfect! Tim and his crew were still there cleaning up any brick debris when I arrived. Tim told me that he had forgotten to order the damper earlier and that it would arrive in a few days; He was very apologetic for this He said that the charge would be removed from the work that was done today. He said that once he received the damper, he would install the damper and only charge me for the part and not the labor. A few days later, Tim called to schedule a date to install the damper and once again he called to give an estimated time of arrival. Tim and his crew did a fantastic job repairing my chimney. I would definitely call B & G Masonry again for any future repairs or if I needed a new chimney.

Tim came out and gave me a prompt estimate in August. Said he was very busy and could not squeeze me in until end of September. Waiting was okay with me - the repair was not urgent. He texted me the day before he came with two other workers. They removed the old blocks and replaced with new. Also put a new cap on the porch. They were finished the same day. Tim came back the next day to remove the forms for the cap. Looks great. I'mm have him come back in the spring and replace the steps. and a couple foundation windows.

Excellent job and clean up.

Basically, I have some cracks on the brick above a couple windows and B & G Masonry LLC basically came in and they tuck-pointed where those cracks were. They removed the old mortar and put new mortar in. I give them between an A and a B and the reason I said that is I'm still waiting for the colormatch and it takes a while for the mortar to blend. So, I mean, as far as the work they did, they were fast, they were complete, they responded okay and they did a nice job and they got it done very quickly. I'm just kinda waiting for the mortars to blend with the old mortar. And I know that's not an instant thing, so I guess for the work that was done at that time, that's about all you can do. It's hard blending colors. That might take three months, that might take 6 months, I don't know. The price was average.

The project went very well . Tim was excellent he went above and beyond to ensure all the work was done correctly . Clean up after the job was perfect . I would highly recommend Tim and would definitely hire him again

Could not be any better!! And at a fair price

Tim and his crew were fantastic.  They did an outstanding, high quality job.  He even had his guys replace a couple of bricks on the front of my garage that had deteriorated.  They left the job site very clean.   My wife was home during the repairs and Tim put her at ease.  I would use B&G again and will gladly refer them to any of my friends who need chimney work done.

I dont usually write reviews but Tim did a fantastic job and its worth a few moments to let other potential customers know what a great job he did. His prices were competitive and fair, he was on time for the quote and to the job site, the area was clean when he left, and the chimney looks great. Its been a thorn in my side for several years knowing I needed to get that repaired. I dreaded dealing with contractors and getting bids.of all the guys I had come out for bids (5) he was by far the most professional. This job alone was worth paying for Angies List to see all the great reviews Tim had. I felt better going into it knowing that others had been happy with his work,and know I am too. Tim was very professional and had great communication. I had a lot of specific requests and he honored the without batting an eye. When it looked a little tricky to get the flashing integrated into our roof, he called in a roofer to get it right, at no extra charge. We are very satisfied with the whole experience and would hire him again for our masonry needs.

Tim was excellent from start to finish. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Tim and his associate Mark arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They did an outstanding job. I wish all craftsmen conducted their business this well. I would definitely hire B&G Masonry again and recommend them to anyone.

The entire experience was positive.  When I was calling businesses to set up estimates, Tim called me back right away.  He understood what I was telling him when I explained my problem.  He came out to inspect when he said he would, he came out to do the job when he said he would.   He sent me the estimate via email, which I like.  Tim was professional, but personable.  I would definitely hire him again and recommend B & G.

I LOVE IT......TIM  WAS GREAT.....  I WANTED THE LOOK TO APPEAR AGED, AND I THINK HE ACCOMPLISHED THAT!
