"Thanks [Member Name Removed] it was a pleasure working on your home. I really appreciate you for taking the time to write a review."
Joe and his crew, led by Tom and Ross, did an excellent job in five days. We are very satisfied with the results and feel that everything recommended and done was needed and will make the house more energy-efficient. We appreciated Joe's level of expertise as a licensed builder. Although we weren't originally hoping to do everything that was done nor spend the amount of money that was spent, we truly believe that everything really needed to be done for a complete, quality job. Our 1500 square foot ranch house was poorly and cheaply constructed in the 50's. We have just lived here since April, 2015. The crew that worked on the job was very knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. For the first four days, they worked eleven hours each day. Also, they were very willing to answer questions that we had. They also took the time to explain some of the unforeseen things that needed to be done to complete the job. We would highly recommend Alpine Roofing Complete.
The new roof looks great and, I am sure, will continue to look great for many years to come!
Job went very well. Had three different companies quote the job. Alpine's quote was in the middle. Not the least expensive, but not the most expensive. Was impressed with Joe's knowledge, and insite into what may have caused the deterioration of the old roof (improper ventilation). He went up on the roof to assess the job, which some one of the other companies that quoted did not do..
Job was quoted in late April, and Joe told me that they would do the work in June when the weather was warm and dry. They showed up on schedule with all the necessary equipment. Had a crew of four people, and were very organized. Placed tarpaulins around to protect the landscape, and cleaned the area as they worked. Had not originally planned to replace the Gutters, but after discussion with Joe, I had them install an oversize gutter on the front of the house, and oversize downspouts with the new gutters on the rear to carry the water away. They also removed some decking to verify the air flow from the eave vents, and found that it was inadequate and blocked. As a result, they removed a lot of lower decking, installed new ventilation.. This resulted in additional cost to the original estimate, but I believe was well worth it. As Joe said, putting on a new roof with poor ventilation would result in premature failure of the roof, and would possibly void the roof warranty. Job took three days to complete. Roof looks fantastic. The gutter were installed by a subcontractor to Alpine, which Alpine Contacted. This company, called Allied Gutter did an excellent job. The followed the instructions Joe had provided to the letter. Showed up in the afternoon, fabricated the gutters onsite, installed them, then walked me around the house to show me what they had done. All in all a great experience.
Why Alpine was hired:
Out of 4-5 roofing companies we looked at, Joe proved to be the most knowledgeable and could explain in detail both what work would be done and why it was necessary. His prices were competitive, and we weren't pressured to make a decision or choose his company. A home in our sub recently done by Alpine also looked great.
Project Duration:
~4 days (Periodic rain delays). Each day a section was completed to minimize any exposure of the attic to the elements.
Setup/Cleanup:
A waste container along with all materials was delivered to our home the day before they began, kept neatly on one half of the driveway. Before work started on any section of the roof, plywood was placed vertically in front of all doors, windows, etc. to protect from any falling objects. Tarps were also used to collect any debris. Overall very impressed by the cleanup.
Roofers:
Joe's crew arrived promptly every morning, answered any questions we had, and explained what work they planned to complete. They seemed as knowledgeable as Joe, offered bits of advice/suggestions, and shared pictures of the work being done.
Completed Project:
The finished project looks great, and we've received multiple comments from friends & neighbors. I am also confident the work was done to a high level of quality and the right materials were used. No one gets excited over needing a new roof, but we were surprised how well the end result looks.
