Everything went fine. It was really good. They're always good. We prefer them to anybody else in the area for anything. They're always honest. They tell us if something really needs to be done or if it doesn't. We just like them. We've been going to them for 20 years. We've taken it in for some really big things too. They always are very accurate in their estimates of how long it's going to take. We like that about them.

They charge like $47 for an oil change which is a little bit higher than the competition, but their reputation is so good that I do not mind paying a little bit more. What stands out about them is their professionalism like their expertise in terms of auto technology and stuff like that. They just know what they are doing. In some places, you kind of question their expertise, but I think at Wood’s, they have a certified mechanic and he is very good and highly experienced.

I found there price to be competitive, they were professional and provided me a ride home.

We have always been satisfied with the work and customer service of Wood's Marathon. Their prices are fair, and they communicate well, giving you a full account of work that needs to be done and the price, before they do anything. There have been a couple of times when they recommended I have repairs done at my car's dealership (it's a Nissan), due to the dealership having more specific parts or diagnostic equipment. I appreciate their honesty. I also called them when we were shopping for a new SUV, to ask their opinions on a few makes and models in terms of repair issues. They were helpful then, as always. Most often, when getting a report on a mechanical problem, I talk to Mike. He's always been up front and considerate when I have questions.
If you're looking for a reputable, trustworthy, local shop, I recommend Wood's Marathon.

Wood's Garage fixed the problems and got me back on the road with a minimum of fuss. I am happy with their service.

Leaving work in 15 degree weather, my car barely started. Concerned about my car battery, I called Wood's Marathon. They said to bring my car over immediately, and they checked and replaced the battery (which was just about dead) within 30 minutes. They have always been polite, fair, very skilled at auto repair/maintenance, and honest. Woods is the only place I take my car - I absolutely trust them.

My car had to be towed, was on a weekend, but the repair was done by the next working day. When I picked up the car after work, they brought the car up to the entrance of the garage and had air conditioner started , so drove off in a cool car.

They are extremely trustworthy. Mike found a good used part to keep the cost of this major repair down. Truck has run like a charm since. Also, Mike won't press to have work done that is unnecessary or not worth the cost given the value of the vehicle. Their pricing is fair and always competitive. This work was done promptly and done well!

I am a single mom with a very limited income and so appreciate the honesty and help with prioritizing needed repairs.

I have used the garage in the past and they were great - this time was a different story. The work and price were all fine, my issue was with the customer service. They took ages to tell us what was wrong with the car and did not tell us that they would need to keep it for several days. This was an all round frustrating experience, we were without a car for about 4 days and were given little to no information in that time. Eventually we basically had to get angry to get things moving.

Exceptional service. Garage is clean and they clearly take pride in their work. I believe that the cleanness of of the work space says a lot about the mechanic and their's is spotless. Very professional. Fixed right the first time.

We have used them for quite a few things over the years and we are happy with their service. I will use them again in the future.

They are really good. I spent about $500 on the last service. They are very honest and I can trust anything they say. They are not interested in taking advantage of me. They will also work within my budget and do what is most important first.

I called Bud Kouts in anticipation of having my Monte Carlo repaired there. They recommended Wood's Marathon as the towing company.I called Wood's directly and they arrived within 15 minutes; placed the car on the flat bed took it to Kouts. Price was about what I expected and the service was outstanding.

We have gone through 2 batteries, a new starter, replaced misc. electrical parts, using 3 different mechanics and still this car only started when the spirit moved it. We had almost given up hope of getting it running again after spending (over the previous 6 months) 4 times what the car is worth. Wood's Marathon found the problem and fixed it. If you live anywhere near East Lansing/Okemos - this should be your auto mechanic. Their gas prices are competitive as well. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

The staff at Wood's Marathon were very helpful in diagnosing and treating a vibration in my 2005 Subaru Outback. The problem was diagnosed and solved quickly and at a very fair price. Excellent operation!

I needed new brakes and called several people and Woods seemed to know the most about my car and gave me an estimate and then broke it down to the acutal parts I would need assuming I needed all the work I was seeking an estimate for. The price was a bit higher then the estimate as the hangar for the exhaust was either broke or missing. Others I called did not accomodate me on the phone.

I had a windshield wiper broken in a blizzard. They talked to me on the phone and told me to come on over, which I did. They fixed it for free and explained to me what I needed. They didn't know me from Adam, and they were very good. I'll go back to them.

I have been using there services for about 8 years now. It is the only place I will go. They are always polite and very friendly. They are very fair. They are prompt. They always do the job well and right the first time.
