I have a trailer hitch and an install instruction to the Midas shop above.  I told them only 5 bolts.
They estimated 1 hour and it actually took a technician 10 minutes.  They still charged me $88.  I think they charge everyone a minimum of 1 hour labor.
I really hated myself for letting them do this.  I felt rip-off and will not give them any more business.

He told us one price for brakes via phone and higher price once he got it in and apart.  Nothing majorly wrong with breaks. got the receipt he charged us appropriately for labor but tripled the price of each part, when questioned about this practice he got rude and said you chose to have the work done.  I told him it is not right to inflate the parts price so grossly, he said oh well don't like, don't come back!

They quoted me a cheaper cost via phone, after they got the brakes taken apart, they said they didn't look too bad and told me it would be 300.  What really made me mad was the receipt where he charged me minimal fee for labor, but tripled the price of each part.  I call the shop across the street where they bought the parts and found out the prices (which they get a discount for) and each part was exactly tripled. I don't mind paying more for labor but don't cheat me on parts.  The manager was so rude when I asked why the parts were tripled, told me it was my choice to have it done there, and could care less if I were mad, told me don't come back,

I would say my overall experience with them has been middle of the road, "C." He did not seem to give definitive answers to what the problem was in my granddaughter's car. We had to go back several times and it seemed unnecessary to me. Where they should have dealt with a problem initially they failed to do that, which added up on our expense.

I have been using them for around 8 years for all of my car service needs.  I can drop my vehicle off and walk back to my office which makes it especially convenient for me and probably adds some to my satisfaction level because I don't have to adjust my whole schedule to accommodate vehicle repairs.  They have been through at least three managers since I have been using them and they have all been pretty good.  The owner Rob is filling in from time to time and seems like a good guy.  I always get the sense that they are more concerned about my long-term business than they are about a short-term "score" at my expense.  I am not a car guy, so I appreciate a professional willing to point things out and then honestly give me an assessment as to whether the issue is urgent/hazardous or otherwise.  My most recent experience involved a diagnostic test to determine the cause of an illuminated check engine light.  They called me with the results and I gave them the go ahead.  Since then, my performance has been better and the light has remained off.
