When hired he assured us a contractor. (HE) was necessary to be policeman & oversee quality of work. What he didn t say was that WE would have to oversee HIS work. He emphasized working weekends but often failed to show on these & other days. The quality of work was disappointing, unprofessional & lacked attention to detail (spots of paint on limestone, trim not matching, caulk not matching). Items were overlooked (working on front but forgetting side porch).Had to remind him with calls & letters about outstanding items. Unprofessional behavior: Swearing & loss of temper when confronted about work. His cost estimates: severely underestimated; he demanded FULL payment despite incomplete work. His estimates of completion: Misguided (quoted Nov. 1st end date done 6 mos. late). We ve been told by subcontractors that Gluck is SLOW & disorganized. He forgot this is our HOME. We re entitled to OUR level of standard, not benchmark he thought satisfactory . Several items remain outstanding.

"I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 35 YEARS. IN THAT TIME I HAVE CHANGED MY BUSINESS ADDRESS TWICE, CHANGED THE NAME ONCE IN 1982 WHEN I INCORPORATED (TRANSFERING THE ONGOING WORK FROM ONE COMPANY NAME TO ANOTHER). NEITHER THE BUSINESS NOR I HAVE EVER BEEN FIRED, NEVER SUED, NEVER FILED A PRODUCTS OR LIABILITY INSURANCE CLAIM IN RELATION TO THE BUSINESS. WHILE I'M SURE THERE ARE THOSE WHO DID NOT LIKE ME AND WOULD PREFER THAT WE NOT WORK AGAIN, I BELIEVE THERE ARE MANY MORE OF THE OPPOSITE VIEW. AS FOR HER COMMENTS, I REJECT THEM CATEGORICALLY AS FALSE AND MISLEADING. ANY PERSON WHO WISHES TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS STORY IS WELCOME TO CONTACT ME. PETER GLUCK"
