Matrix Landscapes

I asked the employee how soon I could be scheduled for an appointment and he said I could be scheduled in the following week. I waited and never received a call for confirmation. I ended up calling the employee back on Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 and although the employee was courteous, he claimed that he must have forgotten to schedule me in. I told him that I would have to go to another lawn care service if this treatment continued. He reassured me that he would write up a work order and get the lawn taken care of. What was interesting was that I noticed the company working on the neighboring homes, planting trees, providing mulch, and other landscaping projects. Though not explicitly stated it appears that the policy is that the most expensive jobs take precedence and they really did not want to be bothered with petty jobs or people like us. I am an African-American male living in a homogeneous suburban community. My wife is Caucasian and we have 4 bi-racial sons. It would have been appreciated if they were honest from the beginning then I would have contacted another landscaping company sooner. Matrix Landscapes from my experience are very unprofessional unless you are in their click. What is also interesting is that I contacted them about pricing for fencing and tree/brush clearance (also big jobs). The other landscaping company I contacted came out the same day and I have authorized them to perform the service. So sad that in 2013 you have this type of customer service still reigning supreme.
