Tom Budd gave us truly personal service from selection through installation.  We were able to select and reserve the exact granite slabs we wanted (that Tom held for us until our kitchen cabinets were installed).  Then Jason came out and made precision templates of our counter tops.  We then went to Granite Creations' shop where Tom placed the templates on the granite slabs and we were able to choose the exact flow of the grain that we wanted.  Finally, Tommy and Juan brought the completed granite pieces to our home and flawlessly installed them.  There were no hitches or 'gotchas'.  Tom and the team made the entire process a pleasure.  We will use them again.

We were referred to this company by a friend who worked in one of the big box home improvement stores. We had run into this friend when shopping for countertops. He told us that Granite Creations was one of the companies that they contract with to supply and do the store installations, and that if we went directly with Granite Creations, we could get our project done at nearly half the price.

We met with Tom Budd (the owner of Granite Creations) and found him to be a delight to work with. He showed us through his showroom and factory where the work is done. An initial estimate was provided, based on my own measurements and photos. We needed some cabinet modifications to accommodate a new built in dishwasher. Tom recommended a contractor (Great Lakes Homes and Remodeling---Reviewed elsewhere on this site), who coordinated with GC and completed our work by Christmas, on a very tight time frame. And, it WAS, in fact, about half the price of the big box estimate.

Everyone at Granite Creations, from Tom, to the office staff, to the installers were very professional and a joy to work with!

This is the third job I've had Granite Creations do for me. They are so professional, and there are no worries about workmanship or timelines being kept. We feel we are in capable hands from the moment we walk in the door until the job is complete. We almost went somewhere else this time after seeing a slab of granite that we fell in love with, but then realized we were making a big mistake after a few strange conversations with the fabricator and a few comments from a contractor. Fortunately we were able to get our money back and we immediately went to Granite Creations.

Need kitchen countertops to complete our kitchen remodel. Went to their shop early on a Sat. morning and was given direction to proceed with the project. They are a professional, busy shop that you can readily observe, Located on Grand River, just east of Wixom Rd. They do have granite slabs available for purchase, but we wanted a particular color. We ultimately found the granite at Tand M Granite in Farmington Hills. The owner of Granite Creations, Steve Stanley, arranged to have the granite transferred to his shop. Process only took 1-2 days! We arranged to have our kitchen measured by Granite Creations. The installation took place about 2 weeks later. The are a high-quality operation that can be trusted! I would use them again.

Shop doesn't look like much from the outside, but good selection and no pushy sales people. Plus good prices. Exactly what we were looking for. We will likely use Granite Creations for our kitchen as well.

My husband and I was ordering the granite counter tops and had to pick out a sink in the showroom. Our choices was a full sink with one drain, or a 50/50 divided in half sink with two drains, or a 60/40 divided sink with two drains. I asked if he had a 60/40 sink to see and he said; "no" they are out of that one. He would have to ordered in a few at a time to get one to see. I told the salesman that I wanted the divided sink (1/4 by 3/4). He said he has a hundred of the 50/50 sinks he has not been able to sell. When he said that I asked if one was in the showroom? He said; "yes, its right there" and pointed. I went over to look at it and saw that it was a sink divided into two small sinks. I said; "of course no one would want that; you can't fit anything in it. I told him I wanted the other divided sink. He says ; "yes the divided one. I put my hand on the 50/50 sink sitting there and said; "I don't want this one; I want the one that is 60/40. He says; "ok, you want the divided sink" After that I figured I couldn't be more precise. I never saw the order sheet and what was put down. My husband took care of the paper work; the payment and delivery. The day the granite was being installed my husband had to work so I was home by myself. I stayed in the living-room while two men put in the granite. I heard a loud noise and they had put a gouge in the porcelain stove top, but that wasn't the worse of it; as they were putting in the sink I saw it was the 50/50 divided sink. My first thought; "I knew he was going to unload one of those on me" I said to the men; "is that the right sink" hoping they made a mistake. They said; "yes" Now what can I do? They're already putting it in; its all cut to fit that sink. I figured I had to live with it. The company did replace the damaged stove top. After two year I have suffered with this ridiculous half divided sink. You can't wash or soak anything big in it. The sinks are just too small to maneuver anything in to wash or soak. I dread trying to fix a turkey or wash anything large in it. I hate this sink. It wasn't until I was Angie's list that I realized I could do something about it.

Update 10/26/2011

After buying a subscription to Angie's List I'm now being told that they can not help me resolve this problem with Granite Creations because it happened two years ago. That was not what I was told when I talked to the Angie's list person after explaining to her it happened two years ago. The sales person told me that wouldn't matter they could still help me get a resolution and urged me to buy a subscription. I decided to just write to Granite Creations myself about the how unhappy I have been with the sink. A week ago Tom from Granite Creations contacted me concerned about my being unhappy with the sink that was put in two years ago. I explained how difficult it is to live with a sink that is divided in half into two small sinks. He asked me to come into the showroom and look at the sinks that could replace it at no cost. The one sink that was a basic one drain large sink he said should work after looking at the measurements. Yesterday the men came out right on time with the new sink. My husband looks at it and says; "oh no, that’s not going to fit" I told him I believe Tom is good at being accurate with theses things and he said it would fit, and sure enough it did. Not only do I have enough room now to wash a 12 inch skillet I could soak a large turkey pan. I should have contacted Granite Creations sooner about the problem instead of trying to live with it. I'm very happy now with the new sink and can't wait to get cooking again. Thank you Tom.
