We had a horrible experience with Glenda?s and highly recommend not hiring their company to complete your landscaping. The job we hired them for was to simply plant 7 arborvitae trees, which seems to me the simplest request you can ask of a landscape company. Below are just some highlights of our experience.
After pushing back the scheduled job by one day, the landscaping team still arrived over 1 hour late and only after calling to say we needed to purchase more supplies for them to complete the job properly when this should have been handled well ahead of time.
We caught the landscapers throwing excess grass into our NEIGHBOR?s BACKYARD.
When the job was complete, we spent hours (and even took a day off work) to correct the mess that they left, including:
The entire area around the landscape was covered in several inches of dirt.
The black mesh put down to prevent weeds was hanging outside of the landscaping.
The black edging around the landscape was not even buried into the ground.
The arborvitaes were planted so close together, we had to replant them entirely to space them out according to the proper recommendations found online. When doing this, we noticed that the trees were buried with the burlap bag completely surrounding the roots ? at least the tops of the bags should have been removed, again per online recommendations.
Please know that Glenda?s did offer to come back out and clean up, however, Chris Cagle was so terrible to work with and incredibly rude that (a) we did not trust them to come back to our house and (b) we did not trust them to complete the job correctly. (Note that Chris blamed the messy work on miscommunication that was somehow our fault, despite us telling them exactly what we needed. He never acknowledged that their company should have asked the appropriate questions upfront.)
While Glenda?s did agree to pay us back $300 out of the $560 we had paid in installation feeds, they have yet to apologize for our inconvenience and acknowledge that their work was sloppy and unfinished. We cannot express enough how disappointed we were with the entire experience.
