I purchase eight Polar Seal windows from Northville Lumber in 2010.  Shortly after they were installed I noticed air leakage.  I contacted Northville Lumber.  They sent someone out and they checked one window and said there wasn't anything wrong.  The leaking has persisted and all four of the double sash windows I bought from them are leaking badly.  Northville Lumber and the manufacture have been to the house several times stating that nothing is wrong with the installation or the windows.  I have been putting plastic over the windows in the winter to help with heat loss.  I paid several thousand dollars for these windows, and they are not right.  I would like them replaced with windows that air seal properly.  But I am not getting any where with Northville Lumber or Polar Seal.  The windows have a lifetime warranty.  Polar Seal was here 11-19-15 and tried all kinds of insulation tape.  They still leak and Polar Seal stated there wasn't anything they could do, the windows will always leak.

We had four companies provide estimates for window replacements for the whole house, specifically Anderson 400 Series. While Northville Lumber's estimate was not the lowest of the four, we decided to go with them due to our prior experience with them and valued quality and drama-free installation (& warranty) of the windows.
Martin Peck came out to perform the estimate. He was very personable and professional. He knew the various products and types very well and was able to guide us through the entire process. He was up front and genuine with us from the beginning to the end.
Once work began, Dan Wilber and his crew - Mike, Frank, Paul, and Jim - wasted no time in getting the windows replaced despite the bitter cold outside. They operated as a team and quickly went room to room, opening to opening, through the 4 days it took to perform the work not leaving a trace they were even there. Martin even stopped by while the work was happening to make sure everything was going well and to see if I had any questions. In the end, the new windows - from outside and from inside - looked fantastic.

Very professional and helpful in identifying what I needed to build my deck. They had a great variety of deck materials and helped me select what was best for my application. The first delivery left out one item (12 instead of 13 2 x 6 boards) and they promptly provided it (along with several more items I decided I wanted after all). In other words the delivery service was prompt and efficient. They said they'd deliver by 8am and they did. When I went back a week later to get a few additional materials (20' deck boards as a result of change in my plan) they waived the normal delivery charge. It probably helped I lived lesss than a mile away. I'm not sure how their prices compare with, say, Home Depot or Lowes, but the ablity to get advice from knowledgable people was worth it.

Northville Lumber was a pleasure to work with. They delivered the product as promised and the installation team was unlike anything I have ever experienced before - on time, extremely skilled and cleanly. I couldn't even tell they had been there after they left (except for the perfectly installed new windows). I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

They were a combination of the quality in extreme of their labor and in terms of window companies that they work with is awesome and that worked better for us than that was available from other companies. Their quality of work was very good and they seem to do it quickly. We would use them in the future.

Overall very happy with Northville Lumber and our new windows. We had one problem with a crank handle and Greg was out the next day to replace the fixture.

THE QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS I THINK HELPED SELL THE HOUSE. I WAS ALSO VERY IMPRESSED BY THE SPEED OF INSTALLATION ALONG WITH THE QUALITY. THERE ARE SO MANY WINDOW COMPANIES OUT THERE, THAT IT IS HARD TO KNOW WHO TO TRUST. I CAN'T IMAGINE A BETTER EXPERIENCE.
