He didn't show up for the appointment. He hung up on me the first time that I called to see if he was available and the second time he yelled at me for being a procrastinator. He was so incredibly rude that he hung up on me twice and didn't even give me a chance to talk.

Our drive was plowed once in December (other services in our area plowed at least three times that month) and three total times in January during a time of record snow fall totaling 50 inches, or more.  Each time the service was not within a "single shift" (interpreted as 24 hours) but four days, or 96 hours, after the cessation of the snow accumulation.  After the third plowing in January, this company sent a letter stating that it now deemed our contract fulfilled as of January 31, 2014, after four total plows.  They recognized that they were leaving their customers prematurely and offered to make a crew available to service the driveway, ala carte, at $20 per service call for any snowfall greater than 2", with the disclaimer that 'of course' heavier snowstorms and blizzards will cost more to service.

My mother-in-law is 92 years old and her husband has Alzheimer but they still live in their home and their daughter drives them to the doctors and events around town. The home is on a hill and its very dangerous to walk on when there is snow on the driveway. The newspaper guy walks the paper up to the door he is so nice. Anyway, We contracted with this Bozo to do their driveway on a seasonal contract, paid in advance then went about our business. The first snow fall the guy shows up later than anyone else in the neighborhood and he forgets to shovel the walk way as contracted. We called and he argued with us and waited until the next snowfall to shovel the walk way. Subsequent snow events he would be late and when you called he would have a voice mail that sounded like don't call me again I will get to you when I can. He then sends this stupid letter saying how sorry he is but he is cancelling the contract as of January 31st (per the contract he can do this) due to the extraordinary weather we are having. In Michigan. In Michigan, you can have five years of mild weather and once in awhile you have a heavy snow fall winter. In this case the clown decides to bail on us and he thinks we are going to contract with him next year? I have a contract for my own home with another service at $50 more than what my mother-in-law paid and they are on-time and plows exceptionally well, even in our epic winter. This guy should find another profession where he doesn't have to deal with humans.

Very disappointing.  Lawn and Snow King cleared my driveway precisely once this season (three days after the Jan 5th Snowstorm) then on 1/29 sent a letter to all customers saying "we must exercise our right to deem the contract fulfilled." leaving all their customers without service.  So we paid too much for a single snow removal and we're at Feb 1st looking for a new snow removal company.
The Lawn & Snow King  snow removal contract is loaded with loopholes to avoid engagement and deflect responsibility: they remove "snowstorms of two or more inches of continuous accumulation," so if there's a short break, even within the same 24 hours, they may not show.  Even when they're supposed to show, they don't show.  And they choose to disagree with NOAA statistics about 24 hour snow accumulation. Do not anticipate response calls amid days of accumulating snow, leaving you with near-total uncertainty about whether or not Lawn & Snow King will arrive.
Each of my neighbors received snow removal one or two days before this company showed up.  Expect rude treatment if you do make contact and no capacity for refund given drafting of contract.   My last call I said "my mom has missed two days of work, the snowfall was four days ago!" and he hung up on me.
I deeply regret signing a contract with this mostly worthless company, but don't just trust my personal experience,  Google Lawn & Snow King's BBB report they are not BBB accredited and at the time of this writing they have an "F" (Fail) rating with a whopping 73 performance complaints within the past 3 years.

The first snow of the season went well, and the driveway was plowed professionally and promptly.
Service provider did not plow driveway during the "Polar Vortex" snowstorm.  At 2 p.m. the day of the storm, I finally went out and shoveled the driveway myself.  I contacted provider a couple of days later, and no good explanation was provided for failure to plow driveway.  Provider stated that the company completed plowing in a timely manner at the majority of houses.  However, this was not my personal experience.
In addition, driveway was not plowed during following storm when more than 2" of snow fell on driveway.  Based on provider's advice, I contacted him both via phone and e-mail on the same day.  He called back promptly and stated that there was a break in the storm and was not responsible to remove snow.  Other driveways in neighborhood were plowed, as were driveways of co-workers in office.

Worst snow removal service ever! They would only remove snow if more than 3" at their location. On numerous occasions there was more than 3" at my location, but it did not matter since they reported less than 3" at their location. When there was obviously enough snow to plow, they would be backed up at other service locations. Often snow was not removed until 36 hours after the storm.

They did half my drive and did not plow/shovel sidewalks.  They came late-all my neighbors had it done day of snow fall and mine was 2 days lter and sometimes not at all.  They promised a refund in writing and then said they had migraines and it was delayed-no refund to date for no service.  Will report them to Attorney general.

Worst experience with a service provider ever.  They operate out of a PO Box in downtown Northville so they can hide and steal your money.  They blanket the neighborhoods with great looking flyers and an attractive price, then never show.  If you call them, you only get a recording that the snowfall was large and they are still working (even with only 3-4 inches).  My wife finally threatened to call the BBB and they called her back and yelled at her (BBB gives them an F).  There are 40 reviews on Yelp saying the same thing, but all have been filtered by their fraud algorithm, so I was not aware of how bad Lawn and Snow King was.  This is the reason I joined Angie's List.  Hope this helps.

I am unable to clear heavy snow thats why they were hired for their early morning servcie. This never happened, the plower evidently has to many customers to service and is in a hurry and doesnt spend any extra time doing a complete job. You cannot reach the company because they won't answer their phones.

Snow Kings, if you read this, you need to change your products.  Obviously, from me and the reports of others on Angie's list, people do not like your service.  Get rid of this horrible "2 inches of snow" product and provide a service that you can be proud of.

rest of it.  So, they did come out and did what she told me was going to happen.  I sure hope I don't get charged any extra.
My main concern right now is my special needs daughter's ability to board her school bus in the mornings and get off safely in the afternoons when she arrives back home.
I'm not going to slam the company because as it stands right now, they've done what they said they'd do and I'm getting what I need.
While I also understand that their route has to begin somewhere and I may not be the first stop on their route, I do get anxious about my kid's ability to motor to and from safely from school.

What happened was... I phoned my mother throughout the day to see how this company did with removing the snow.  At 7:30 pm they still did not show up.  So I went to my mother's home and took care of the snow.  My mom was anxious and stressed because she could not understand why this company would not take care of her.

Still waiting for their response requesting a refund.  If things change will post an update.  Company did not respond to certified letter or Better Business Bureau.  Looks like we will be proceeding to small claims court.

Since this time the company agreed to give us a partial refund. We did receive that two weeks later but nt for the full amount we had agreed upon. We decided to just cash it and be done with the relationship

There were numerous occasions where they were very late in showing up and also at least two occassions where we had significant snowfall and they failed to show up at all. After calling them on numerous occassions they never responded. In fact on the 3rd time of attempting to reach them a very rude answering machine message stated that they did not want customers leaving any messages about missed service and they would "try" to catch up on service when possible (which they didn't do). On one occassion when they did show up (late) they hit and tore off the awning on the side of my neighbor's house. Even though my neighbor was home, they never notified her that they had done this. It was only when she left the house that she noticed it. She emailed the Snow King owner to report this and he replied that he would come out and look at it. He never did come out and he never responded to any follow-up phone call and emails. Both my neighbor and I would never hire them again. In fact we hope that nobody does. My neighbor says she would rather shovel her sidewalk with a garden shovel than hire them again!

I had a season long contract and this is the second time they did not show. We had plenty enough snow from what was in the contract and they didn't show. The customer service was not good. The recording said something like to call them between 8-9 in the morning because they are out plowing and they would get to me. They never got to me. The contract included unlimited snow plowing when the snow was over two inches and they were to clean off my driveway and shovel my sidewalk. I have left messages and they haven't returned my calls. I cannot recommend them whatsoever. I would never hire them again. They also own a lawn service and I would never use them.
