"Thank you for your business and review!"
"Our company is honest and does quality work. Our crews are respectful and courteous to our clients and their properties. They know to not do additional or side work that has not first been approved by the office. As you can see from our other reviews, this rating is not an accurate depiction."

We discovered Roose Bros. through researching a company for weekly lawn maintenance services and considered it a bonus that they would be able to help address some landscape issues around the property. After obtaining a quote for landscape services and seeing the creativity and artistic ability of this company, we decided to move forward.
The job lasted three days in total and involved complete removal of the existing landscaping as well as lawn directly in front of the house. Roose Bros. developed a plan, which included Densi Yews, Blue Hydrangea, Burning Bushes, Melba Heuchera, Lamium, and Maiden Grass which primarily do well in shade (our house faces north), boulders to surround a large silver maple tree in the front yard, a poured concrete landscape border, and installation of a new porch and walkway using pavers. Installation of new sod and leveling of the front yard was included in this job, as was the installation of a timed sprinkler system.
The transformation was completed during the work week and primarily when my wife and I were at work. The team was efficient and creative. The staff in the office is extremely professional and very often responded to emails I sent very quickly and not during typical business hours. I have found the crew at Roose Bros. to be very responsive and collaborative and I would not hesitate to call on them when considering making upgrades to our back yard in the future.
"It was a pleasure working with you guys, thanks!"

"We were asked to submit an estimate for yard/ landscape repairs as well as a separate estimate for sprinkler repair work after fire damage. It was requested that we make sure the estimate would be high enough to include any unforeseen repairs. We supplied said estimate in a timely manner and received a sign/approved estimate for the work a few months later. Due to unforeseen labor challenges and weather delays which are out of our control, we had to reschedule most of our jobs back. We tried our best to keep all clients informed, but did apologize for any failure on our part to be clear as to a start date. We do not collect deposits for jobs upfront most of the time due to the possibility of delays like these. We informed the client that we would be coming out in the following two weeks to do the job, but did not have an exact start date at that time. There was NO mention of anyone going out of the country at anytime. The evening before we were going to be able to send the crew out, we attempted to contact the client on 2 email addresses as we needed access to the house later in the day to complete the work but had no response. The next morning I attempted several emails to the 2 different provided addresses as well as left messages on 2 phone numbers provided with still no response. Our crew was already on their way to the job which was about 30 minutes from our shop location. We decided to have them do the first part of the estimate which was lawn and landscape repairs and wait to reschedule the sprinkler repairs although the plan was to do the entire job in one trip. I sent the invoice which was for the work estimated to be done and let the client know that after that portion was paid we could schedule the sprinkler repairs to be done. I was then told that they were out of the country and could not be reached. That portion was paid and sprinkler work was performed including extra valve troubleshooting work that needed to be done. When we had completed the repairs estimated an invoice was sent. The client claimed that we did not do work worth that much of the signed estimate. We reviewed the estimate and removed a portion of the charges. He has continued to claim we are price gouging although the work was performed according to the estimate that he signed/approved. He has requested our material and labor costs. We do not price gouge and are a company that does quality work with integrity as is evident by our reviews and long standing repeat customers of over 15 years. We are not interested in arguing and have mentioned several times for him to pay whatever amount he feels is fair and we will just accept it and take the loss on this one."
This was our first experience having any work of this nature done and everything went extremely well. We contacted Mike along with another service provider to get bids from both as we do not spend this sum of money without a competitive bidding process. While both bids were very comparable in terms of scope and price, Mike was vastly easier to deal so we went with his bid. Mike came out and met with me at the house (something I could not get the other service provider to do) and was very patient and thorough in explaining to me what needed to be done and the options that I had. His team showed up on time, did the work in a professional manner, and the results are stunning. Our pavers have never looked this good even considering the day they were first put down. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and are more than happy to recommend Roose Brothers to our friends.
"Thank you! Look forward to working with you on any future projects."
To begin, Mike completed a no-obligation detailed landscape plan and quote to our specifications that called for the removal of several overgrown shrubberies, the sculpting of several large planting areas and the planting of over 100 new plants including Japanese Maple, Blue Hollies, Hydrangeas, Viburnums, Arborvitaes, a variety of Hostas and many more. He also designed a wonderful border for our Rose garden using paving stones set in an octagonal shape as we had envisioned.
After arriving at our home and continuing over the next four days, Mike and crew also replaced the stone in our rock borders near the home including a new border and barrier. The new plants were each given a drip irrigation line. The beds were filled with many, many yards of Western Red Cedar mulch and a boulder was installed to accent one of the larger beds at the rear of the property.
Mike also stabilized the very large planter box mounted under our large picture window and installed a trellis that will guide a
Climbing Hyrdrangea. He was able to save all of our other existing perennials including several Hostas and a large
Hydrangea. The existing Hostas were divided among the rest of the gardens, filling them in nicely. After finishing the work, they repaired any minor turf damage by top dressing and reseeding the area.
Mike and his crew of Ken, Aaron and Pedro were very workmanlike and made sure all our questions were answered and any concerns we had were addressed. And let?s not forget Jenny who runs the office and facilitates all communication. Jenny?s response to email was timely and she was able to get all of the answers to our questions and concerns.
All in all, if we had to do it again, Roose Brothers would be the first company we would call. We look forward to maintaining our
relationship over the next many years.

However, booking their service and getting them to come out is another story. It is impossible to call them. Instead, e-mail is preferred. At times, the response is not quick. I absolutely hate that I have to e-mail multiple times to understand when they are scheduled to come out. There is no follow-up from the office.
Is difficult toe recommend a company that never follows up with their customer, despite doing excellent work.

He scheduled me for mid June. He initially had to push me out to mid July, due to all the rain we had plus avoid our family vacation. But then he was able to come out a few days before we went on vacation to start the job. He re-leveled the areas that needed to be repaired, and replaced all the sand before we went on vacation. He was not able to get the sealer on before we left and due to his work schedule and the weather was not able to come out to do the sealing for about 2.5 weeks later. Since the pavers sat unsealed, they developed a white haze covering a good portion of them due to all the rain that occurred after he installed the sand. Not sure whether the haze was due to the initial installation of the sand or the subsequent rains that came and washed out additional glue. Regardless, he had to clean the pavers off before he could apply the sealer. He did this with no issue and applied the sealer. The patio looks like new. The areas he re-leveled eliminated the pools of water that would occur when it would rain. My wife and I are extremely happy with their work. The fact that it took much longer than anticipated I think was due mostly to things that were out of his control, (weather, vacation).
We will be calling Mike back in the fall to discuss more landscaping upgrades.
One lesson learned for me is to not wait until April-May to talk to companies about landscaping work. If you want the work done in Apr-May, you need to talk to these companies in Feb-Mar.
First, Mike came out quickly after calling to try and get someone in for an estimate. I told him of my issues and he provided several options and things to consider. As promised, they sent over the estimate within a week.
Next, since my job was not a large job, they would try and work me in scheduling wise, but gave me an estimated data of early June. We were listing my house for sale so time was of the essence. They ended up finding a way to get me in a couple of weeks early.
They had to pull out a poorly installed well used for my sump pump relief area (installed by a different landscaper), and put in a new drain basin. They did a great job, graded very well and cleaned up completely. I've had heavy rains since, and things have worked perfectly.
I would highly recommend them.
"Thank you!"
