They were great to work with.  It was the beginning of spring so a busy time for them, but they treated our job as an emergency and took care of it right away.

Excellent customer service and great firewood

Went very well, prompt, good quality fire wood.

Came out and told me exactly what was needed. Price was good. I decided to wait until the following summer.

Got a face cord of wood delivered. It was a good mix of hard wood as
promised but quite a bit of it was covered in snow and ice, It appeared
to have been stacked outside uncovered.

I solicited bids from 5 contractors. Hacker Services was the highest bid by a considerable amount.

I had a water drainage problem in my back yard and the side of my house. Hacker Services assessed the situation and proposed their solution. They fixed the problem and I've had no issues since. My property also needed some landscaping upgrades, which I also hired them to do, and I am very happy with the results. They were professional, the cost was reasonable, and they did what they said they would do. I would hire them again.

They were very professional. They were here when they said they would be. They cleaned up every day after they were done. They were here three days and did a nice job. It was expensive but I guess it would've been expensive any place I went. I suppose you get what you pay for.

I have been a long-time customer of Hacker Wood (now Hacker Services LLC). Over the years, I have been very pleased with the quality of the wood, the selection (hardwood, birch, fruitwood), and the service. The past two years, and this year in particular, it seems that the quality has deteriorated. I ordered 1/2 hardwood and 1/2 fruitwood as I have done in the past. This year's delivery, while well-seasoned, was only about 1/4 fruitwood (my estimate, made while moving and stacking the wood). I phoned following delivery to express my concern, and I was treated to a lesson on how to tell one wood from another, with no offer to evaluate the product or to correct the situation. Perhaps as Hacker has expanded into other businesses (trucking, etc) they have become less interested in the firewood business. I know that they have lost me as a customer.

Initially we traded phone calls for a week or so, then they came out and gave me the quote. The indicated it would be two to four weeks away. Within a week, they had someone postpone their work and called to say they could schedule me in. They showed up on time -moved the furniture and deck surroundings for me and worked solidly through the day for four days. When they discovered the patio underneath - they called me and gave me a very fair price to remove it (much of the work had to be manual because machinery doesn't fit through my gate). They moved most of the furniture back when done, cleaned up after themselves, and told me how to care for the patio. I really appreciated their recommendations on design and their professionalism and thoroughness. Would absolutely do business with them again!

We had an excellent experience with Hacker Services from start to finish. Roy and his daughter, Crystal, came to do an estimate within a week of our original call. We had already gotten estimates from a couple of other companies, and Hacker was the highest by far. However, Roy inspired such confidence in that first visit that we concluded we should hire him in order to get the job done correctly, even though it would cost more. Roy looked around our yard and had a good eye for planning the project and noticing things that should be done to improve our situation, such as noticing that our air conditioner unit was not level and offering to pull an old concrete base from a basketball net out while doing the pool job. (In all fairness, other companies that came in with lower estimates were rather perfunctory in their efforts and did not include the extras Roy suggested, such as the brick paver sidewalk and patio). Roy and Crystal are both very nice, polite, and professional people, and they were both present the whole time for our four-day job. Roy runs a very hard-working, efficient team, and there was a clear sense of camaraderie among the crew. Roy met with them each morning to explain the day's tasks, and they all seemed to work together very well. When someone needed to come inside the house (e.g., to turn off power to the pool lights), they sent Crystal in (a small thing, but a comfort to a woman in the house alone). Each evening, they cleaned up after themselves before leaving. We very much appreciated their attention to detail, and the extras they added or suggested as the job progressed. For example, they installed pvc pipe in a couple of locations under the new sidewalk and marked the spots so that we can easily add electricity or water without disrupting the sidewalk. In the middle of the job, I asked if they would extend the sidewalk job we originally discussed and add a patio (involved removal of more concrete, laying more bricks). They readily agreed, did a great job, and quoted a very reasonable price for the additional work. At the end of the job, we had a perfectly graded and seeded back yard and reinstalled fence. I was surprised that even the invisible fence for the dog was undamaged despite the frequent large truck traffic. The work they did on the sidewalk and patio is very neat and beautiful, and we are completely happy with the job. We have to dig to find anything to complain about (e.g., cigarette butts in the yard, a couple of damaged planters, missing hose nozzle), but given the size and complexity of the job, we are delighted with the end results and would certainly recommend them.

We would highly recommend Hacker Services to anyone looking for a great workers that you can really trust. They were Efficient, responsible, and courteous, these people do not mess around they get in and get the job done, going above and beyond. They cleaned up the work space every day before they left...amazing...and it was raining almost every day but, that didn't make them stop they continued right through it all! They showed up when they said they would...which if you've ever been waiting on a contractor before or had to call numerous times, you know how frustrating that process can be....no problems at all with this company...makes me smile!! Roy, the owner, is the nicest and most fair person, runs a tight ship and it shows in the work!! We had our in ground pool removed, it was a huge project, there were some inspections to pass, which they all did. The final inspection failed because of the dirt left on the street from all the rain and mud, they were informed of this and they returned the next morning with a lot of people and with sweepers and cleaned it all up....final inspection all done!! These people are awesome and I would say to give them a call for your next job....you won't be disappointed!!!

It's a family owned company. They came out and did the job and they did a great job. The people who came out for work were really good. They showed up on time. I would definitely recommend them to others.
