Improvement projects quoted up front, at no charge. Troubleshooting projects for Residential involve a one hour minimum charge of $75 with no additional service call fees, Commercial troubleshooting at $75 per hour. Licensed throughout St. Joseph and Elkhart counties in Indiana.

The entire job was done on schedule and completed very professionally; however, the total cost was about $1800.00 and the estimate given before the work was started was about $1200.00. Reasons given for the higher cost included the following: first, it took longer than was anticipated to complete the repair and installation of the front entrance door light. Secondly, the cost of renting a trencher was higher than estimated.
After the lighting for the sign in the front was completed, we felt the lights were much brighter than they should be. Preferred Electrical Services agreed with our assessment and replaced the lights with lower wattage lights. There was no additional cost for replacing the lights. We were very pleased with there willingness to replace those lights at no additional cost.
The entire job was done at 12349 Adams Road, Granger, Indiana.

It's always best to do the material/rental costing research before commenting on pricing. Particularly when the project involves components I don't frequently use. It should be noted however that the final pricing ($1800.00) was provided up front and in writing before the project was approved. Thanks again for the opportunity to earn your trust."

Each time I have an electrical emergency or a remodeling project, I call Preferred Electric. My husband is a Maintenance Supervisor at an extrusion plant, and, as such, can do just about any repair work we need done.....so he HATES to have people work on our home, thinking they can't possibly do it as well as he can. Preferred Electric meets even HIS high standards, and there's no one else I would consider calling. Steve is a great electrician, a great trouble-shooter and truly one of the "good guys"!
