Emergency replacement of entire electrical panel system inside and outside. Ian did a fantastic job and right when and for the price he said he would.

Mr. Electric was hired to replace the electric panel in our vacation home. There was a controller for electric heat that was no longer being used. We asked that the controller be removed as we had installed a gas furnace and no longer used the electric heat. They removed the controller then took the wiring in the controllers that ran the heaters and directly connected them to a breaker. Since the controller was removed the electric heaters hooked up directly to a breaker ran for 1.5 months in the summer with the A/C also running trying to maintain a temperature of 78 degrees. Due to family commitments we were not at the home during this time. The result was much higher than normal electric bills. I also asked that the wiring in the older section of the home be rewired to include a ground as their was no ground wire. I was told that a ground wire was not needed as they could just use GFCI circuit breakers. I had never heard of this but he is the electrician so I agreed. Turns out it does not work, at least not in my house so I still have no ground to most of the outlets in my home. I have made numerous calls and emails to Mr. Electric with no return calls from the owner. Their work also failed inspection twice.

I paid $6000 for generator in February 2021 that has yet to arrive. Delay after delay. I requested a refund but they refused. Complaining now with the BBB, the Attorneys General in Indiana me Michigan, my credit card company, and several relevant federal agencies.

I hired Mr. Electric to install a new wire To a new breaker for a double oven we are putting in. I called and set up the appointment, I was told they could complete service that day or I had a year to use the quote. The morning of the first appointment I waited around from 8-11 for the window and then called because they hadnt shown up. Apparently, I missed a call the afternoon before about the tech being sick and canceling the appointment. Thankfully they were able to work things out to get someone out the next day. The next day the tech shows up. He looked the job over and input the information into his system and gave us a quote. The cost was a lot higher than we were anticipating (678.xx) so my husband and I decided to discuss and not go through with service that day. The tech then tells us our quote is only good for a week. Which is weird seeing as they told us a year when we scheduled. Fast forward to just under 2 weeks from the day they quoted us we called and decided to move forward with service. They could get us in the in a week, which was fine. We asked if we could pay for the service while booking the appointment and they said that was fine so we paid the 678.xx. Fast forward to a week later Its the day of service. The appointment was at 8:00am. At 7:53 we receive a call from the tech That he was having trouble sourcing the materials and would be a bit late. I understood. But then he asks if the receptionist mentioned they would have to re-quote the project and that the cost would go up. I told them no, and that we paid for it a week ago. He basically said it didt matter and that since it was past a week they had to re-quote. The whole process seemed very shifty to me. Basically they tell you one thing and then change it last minute, like the cost, and the quote deadline. They should honor what they tell a customer. We went ahead and paid the extra $20 that it magically increased over a couple weeks. We decided we will just take it up with the BBB instead of having to go through the quoting process again. Today the tech came out (very late after the appointment time) and completed the project. Unfortunately I cannot State As to whether it works because we have to get the oven installed first, however I am disappointed that they did not clean up after themselves. They left a large pile of drywall dust on The floor upstairs and wood shavings all over downstairs. You would think as a professional company they would clean up and deliver excellent care. If you need electrical work done and want a honest company do not go with Mr. Electric.

They came here to repair the electric issue. They had it working but by next day it was not working again. They did not even research the issue. They also were starting to rewire the house with did not even need to be done. We are requesting a refund. Then had someone else come and it was solved.

I had a fiddly electric job as my house had dated wiring and was poorly designed. I tried three electricians and Mr Electric were the only ones that were not intimidated by the task. They sorted out the permit, communicated really well and completed the job on time were respectful, helpful and very efficient. Their price seemed very much in line with other qualified and certified electricians. I would highly recommend them, in the Berrien Spring area, Thanks.

They have several subcontractors, but the one that was sent for my quote was Josh, and he was awesome! He came out the day after my request, was friendly and informative, and really listened to what I wanted. Worked with me on getting the most important items in my budget first, and his quote very reasonable. Knew that I had an insulation project waiting on his electrical work and did his best to fit me in so it could be completed on time for the insulation contractor. I highly recommend him. He is definitely worth a bonus six star!

Needed outside security lighting installed. Vendor was professional and arrived on time. Cost was perhaps a little on the high side but it was worth it to me. Would consider using this vendor again.

Professional and performed excellent work, aside from a mix up for phone and address they exceeded my expectations.

Very expensive if you ask me. Great work but $700 to install a ceiling fan...I know there wasn’t any light or fan there before so he had to run electrical and put the support above it, but $700??? That’s really expensive. We needed it done ASAP and Alex was really nice, very helpful, informative, and did a great job but very expensive.

Very friendly, did what work they could, checkws things out thoroughly. Like most people feel, electricians are a bit pricey, but we need them regardless. I would highly recommend this company.

I had a dining room light fixture replaced with a new one. The work was done well and in a timely manner. Having said this, it is important to note that Mr. Electric's notification system is not working and both times (once for the initial estimate) I received a new time via both email and text--both outside the window of time I was initially given. When I called about this, it was brushed off and said that their system comes out of a different time zone and needs to be fixed. What??! Since the job was done so well and timely I still gave this job a 4.5 rating in spite of the annoying scheduling glitches.

Low score is because the service technician failed to show up for the first arranged appointment and the office never contacted me to inform me he would not. I had to call them numerous times. The technician on the rescheduled service call was excellent and all went well.

The only reason for not giving an all 5 star rating was my experience with the technician not showing up at all for the first appointment made. When the second appointment was made, the technician who came was great and he got to our home on time and did a great job.

Honest and polite. I am going to upgrade my wiring and this is who I will call.

Arrived on time redid our line and meter box, due to tree limb pulling off of house. He was very professional and explained why he had to add an outside master switch. Would very much use them again.
