Good job, safe, timely no problems with tree. However, I chose this contractor because they told me that they could also remove the stump, but it turns out they were unable to do it. (other bidders declined to remove the stump as well.)

C & S Marsh Tree Service did an excellent job by removing 2 trees without any problems, any damage, and cleaned up. They also trimmed 2 large tree directly over the main house, by lowering the limbs with ropes with no damage. I would highly recommend them and use them again if I need them. I will able to use their 5% discount coupon that they offer on-line.

Though they have not done any "real" work yet, I was impressed by their knowlegde and willingness to give advice. They were recommended to me by another person who is in charge of taking care of a subdivision's landscaping, and they had only the highest praise for their work
Description of Work: Came out to give us an estimate for tree removal, and or restoration. Gave us ideas on how we could save money and do certain things ourselves. Suggested we try that first before we hired them. Very friendly and helpful. Even came out a second time at no charge to give advice. Very knowledgable. Certified arborist.

See above. On the day the trees were cut he arrived with a two man crew at the time he had indicated. They cut the American Elm into managable pieces for us to use in our fireplace. He used a lift to remove the limbs one by one from the fir tree and proceeded to remove the trunk in small sections. He tied a rope to the sections of trunk he was cutting and his crew kept tension on the line to make sure the pieces fell away from the house. Scott waited patiently for my husband an I to decide how high we wanted the stump (we did not want it removed because it was near a retaining wall) and he cut it to exactly the height we indicated. He took a leaf blower and cleaned all of the sawdust from the roof and they carefully cleaned the yard and made sure it met with our approval. He and his crew were friendly, polite, and respectful. I would definitely hire him again.
Description of Work: I had two dead trees on my property that needed to be removed. I had received estimates on having them removed last fall and was not impressed with any of the companies so I called C&S Marsh for an estimate based on another review. One dead tree ws an American Elm located at the end of my driveway which was not in a precarious position as it would not hit the house if it fell. However, there was a very large fir tree adjacent to the house which had already lost several limbs during storms. Scott Marsh is the owner and he traveled to my house on the day I called him and provided an estimate. Upon learning that he could dispose of the dead trees on our property (we have a wooded area behind our house) he revised his estimate and beat the three previous estimates by $200. Additionally, he had his insurance company fax a copy of their coverage so we could verify that he was covered. On the day the trees were cut he arrived with a two man crew at the time he had indicated. They cut the American Elm into managable pieces for us to use in our fireplace. He used a lift to remove the limbs one by one from the fir tree and proceeded to remove the trunk in small sections. He tied a rope to the sections of trunk he was cutting and his crew kept tension on the line to make sure it fell away from the house. Scott patiently waited for my husband and I to decide how high we wanted the stump left (we did not want it removed because it was near a retaining wall) and he cut it to exactly the height we indicated. He took a leaf blower and cleaned all of the sawdust from the roof and they carefully cleaned the yard and made sure it met with our approval. He and his crew were friendly, polite, and respectful.

A crew of 4 arrived on time on Thursday morning per agreement. Work for lower limb removal went within their stated plan. Clean up of debris was completed. Following day the 3-man team of free climbers arrived on time. The original crew were present at the site. The process was well orchestrated and in my opinion entertaining. The precision of placement was amazing! The crew cleaned all debris, raked the yard and cleaned every inch of our 1 1/2 acre property. On-time, within estimate, professional, courteous, and friendly. You couldn't ask for a better experience.
Description of Work: Our property has over 10 mature Black Oak, Pine, Beechwood and Hickory Trees. C & S Tree Service's owner Scott Marsh provided services to remove large limbs over our home and yard. Most of the trees were over 70 + feet in height. Large limbs were removed, above 50 feet were removed by Arborist, Steve Benson who complimented the machinery by free climbing these heights and dropping 700-1000 lb. limbs with surgical precision.
