We live on a lake. We love the lake life. But, it can be hard.
On the weekends, we just want to enjoy the water, the boat, and the view. We are tired of hassling with broken boats, broken sea walls, and broken boat lifts. We want someone to help, so that we can enjoy the lake life.
This year, we purchased a new Shore Station lift from JNR. I had been quoted 10 days for delivery by another company. Ten days before the lift would arrive and then they would have to put it together and install it. JNR said he would go pick it up from the warehouse himself. I spoke to him on a Tuesday and he had my lift built and in the water by Friday. No kidding.
But, the real reason we are so thankful to JNR is the customer service.
They went above and beyond and got us out of a jam.
We had an old lift. We hired another company to install it and remove it for a couple years. Last fall, they had difficulty removing it. They broke two feet off of it. It took them three times longer than normal to get it out of the water. We had agreed on a fee of $200 for removal. The other company sent us a bill for $500 because it took them longer than normal. Then, they didn't even offer to help us repair the feet they broke off of it.
When we were looking for a new lift this spring, we decided to go with JNR, rather than the other company. The other company found out. Sent us threatening e-mails and told us that we owed them an extra $1000 and had one hour to remove our lift from their storage area. Or they would scrap it and charge us another $500.
I had to call JNR at 8:00 at night. Tell them that I was being threatened. Ask them for help in moving the other lift.
They said yes. No charge. They agreed to get our lift and move it to their storage area.
We were scared. We'd never been threatened like that before.
JNR didn't have to help us. They didn't have to take that call at 8:00 at night. But, they did.
