Birkmeier was recommended by a local plumber. He came out almost immediately, figured out the pump was the problem after troubleshooting lesser items. Quickly removed the old pump and replaced it with a new one. Voila! Water!

Perfectly. They pressure tank had a leak near the bottom in a connection that was repairable but had to be performed very carefully as not to rupture the bladder in the tank. Andy told me that he would try to fix it but there was always a possibility that the bladder would be ruptured due to the working space and nature of the fix. A new pressure tank is not cheap and I appreciate the fact the they fixed the old one rather than just selling me a new tank. I highly recommend Birkmeier for any well issues.

The rep came to our house and gave a great quote. They showed up early and started working. I never had a well dug before. They were very nice to answer any questions I had as the work continued. They were finished in two days. They cleaned up really well. They were careful not to tear up the yard or shrubs where they were working. Our water has a lot more power due to the great source of water that they hit We are very, very pleased with the service they provided. Plus their quote was almost 2000 under the other two quotes we received. We would recommend them to anyone wanting excellent service and a great price. We would call them again when we need well servicing.

I recently purchased a home and within two months started to notice a constant puddle in my drive way. After some real basic troubleshooting I figured out it was coming from the area near my well head. Not knowing much about wells (except that they are expensive) I was worried to say the least. I placed a call to the well drillers whose number was tagged to the top of the well head and several other companies so that I could get multiple quotes (or so I thought). First off, suprisingly it was difficult to get some of the companies to call me back. Seems like many of them like to only do new well installations and aren't that interested in reparing existing wells.
Eventually, I thought of contacting the plumbing company I have used in the past and that has high ratings on Angie's list (Afordable plumbing). They referred me to Ed Birkmeier well drilling. I placed a call to Ed Birkmeier and recieve a call back within the hour. The said they could come and look at it the next day so we setup an appointment. The next day they should up to look at it and brought along all their gear (including a bachhoe being pulled by a semi truck). They looked at it and quickly suggested that it was likely a fitting connecting the piping that ran from the well to the inside of the home. He explained that many well drillers use galvanized fittings rather than stainless fittings to cut cost but they also know that those fittings will decay and have to be replaced giving them an oppurtunity for a service call. They told me that they could dig it up and have it fixed within an hour.
Now, I was very nervous as the well head was very close to my deck and in the middle of some landscaping. The backhoe was large and I was worried that they may damage the landscaping or worse the deck. Needless to say they were amazingly good with the backhoe and didn't damage anything. The dug the hole, find the fitting, showed me the damaged part, replaced it with a stainless one, backfilled the hole and were done within an hour. In total the charge was $366. I was expecting a much bigger bill for such fast service on a well and was very pleased with the work they did. I will definately call them again anytime I need well work.
