Flagstar Bank

Went really well. Ann Arbor contact of Flagstar bank  - the mortgage officer is one of the best in the town, very responsive and will work in the interest of the buyers. Highly recommended.

I was recommended to flagstar. This is my first mortgage, and while my uncle is a real estate lawyer who looked over everything, I still felt as though I wasn't gauged or taken advantage of at all. everything went smoothly and timely. It was a fairly long process however I was definatelly satisfied.

Waiting on hold for an hour is never good.

The representative from the bank is supposed to call back in 24 to 48 hours to explain what happened to the money in the escrow account.

The lady was nice enough, but the bank's lack of foresight about using modern conveniences means this is going to be a long 30-year relationship.

The whole experience was a blame game. The mortgage company claimed it was my fault that I had not submitted my insurance information. The insurance company claimed the mortgage company should have accessed the website that provided such information without involving me, and the bank claimed, yet again, that it was not their policy to follow this practice, which again dumped the issue back into my lap. It's frustrating when industries fail to follow best practices and cause the stress of the situation to fall upon an unsuspecting customer who is already paying his insurance policy and doing the best he can.
