+ -1 morePat the owner come out and gave me a great quote for the work and let us know when we could fit within the schedule. He called a week early and wanted to deliver the materials - which was awesome! He was here first thing Saturday morning and he discussed what his crew would be doing. His crew arrived and were very professional, organized, efficient and worked very well together. Stripped off the old roof well before lunch and started to replace some of the bad sheathing. Had lunch then after some of the crew started to put down the new roof while others cleaned up. Finished the job within a day and other than a excellent new roof on my home you would have never known anybody was here. Pat and APEX Roofing are a great company. When I was much younger I did this work while going to college and can recognize a dedicated professional company and Pat and his employees deserve an A+++ rating. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

+ -1 moreService and workmanship were very professional. Competitive pricing. Prompt 0800 start each day. Well supervised. Pat or Steve (owners) were here on the job 80-90 percent of the time. The home and out-buildings are 100 plus years old and required some additional expertise, but the crew never waivered from their attention to detail. The crew was very friendly. At the end of the job, one of the guys actually told me "thanks for the work". Clean up was done each day. I would use again. Steve and Pat-GOOD GUYS !!

+ -1 moreThe owner looked at the roof , asked me the age of the roof, and told me what he thought the problem might be. He told me the charge ahead of his fixing it,. I said to fix it. He got up on the roof with his ladder and was done caulking in a very short time. The smell of wet wood in one area of our house that I had been smelling has since disappeared. We've had some heavy rains since then, too. Fantastic!
Description of Work: I would highly recommend this company. They responded quickly and knew exactly what to do to fix the roofing problem I had. I thought I was in for a new roof, but only had a $125.00 repair. A little caulk to fill holes in and around the chimney did the trick.

+ -1 moreSteve came out to check a roof leak in my 12 year old home. I suspected a plumbing roof vent and thats what it turned out to be. The flashing boot was cracked. Steve showed the old part to me and it was obvious that it needed replacing. He had the part required on his truck and was in and out in a litte over an hour. Excellent service.

+ 1 moreIt went really well. I had 3 estimates and I chose this company. It wasn't hype it was very no-nonsense. It was timely and I was very happy with everything. I didn't have to listen to a presentation of what they offer. I liked that APEX was very time efficient yet thorough.
Description of Work: Removed existing shingles and replaced with new. Installed felt paper over entire roof. Installed an ice&water shield. Installed drip-edge. Installed new roof vents. Replaced pipe-flashings. They hauled away all the debris. Cleaned the gutters. They replaced the step and the chimney flashings. They protected our house and our landscaping while they did all of this.

+ 0 moreThe project went well. They were professional and prompt. The price did not change. However, after the first winter, part of the roof was rippled. They gave me a bit of a hard time, saying that we should have had the felting replaced, not just reshinged. When I reminded them that was what happened, the tone changed quickly. They sent a technician, who determined that the felt was defective. They took up the shingles, replaced the felt and repaird the roof, all at no charge. We have had no problems since. I would use them again.
Description of Work: They stripped all the existing shingles off the roof, repaired the flashings, reroofed and put up all new gutters.

+ -1 moreOn the day I called to get estimates on the roof, Pat was the first to respond. He came and spoke with my husband and I by the end of the week. We got 3 other estimates and decided on Apex Roofing. Pat had to order the shingles we wanted so two weeks later they came and the job was completed in two days. I got a detailed estimate and a very professional response. They protected our landscape and did a great job! I would recommend this company to anyone needing roof repair or replacement.
Description of Work: Our roof was 22 years old and there was a leak coming through the exhaust in the kitchen. Apex had to replace all the plywood and flashing around the pipes and chimney. They had to tear off the old and replace the new. We chose the landmark plus shingles which added to the total cost.

Came out the next week Monday and completed the repair. Right before we had the huge amount of rain, no leaks after all the rain. Excellent job and service.

+ -1 moreDid a good job of removing the old deck quickly and not making a mess and doing no damage to any plants, little to no sign of any of the old shingles or old flashing. However the install crew wasn't as neat and tidy as they left the shingle wraps (the packaging) all over the place. They also under estimated the number of shingles needed to complete the job, and had to go out and get more to finish, which forced them to finish the job the following day. Overall, the roof looks really good and they were prompt and finished the job on-time (they still meet their estimated completion time). Would definitely recommend and use again.

Description of Work: I would HIGHLY recommend Apex Roofing to anyone! Pat and his crew were absolutely 100% professional in their workmanship, and interpersonal communication skills. I had a multitude of questions to ask about roofing, and not once did he talk down to me. Whenever I asked a question, Pat responded with patience and step-by-step instructions on what was being done, and would further explain why. Most importantly, he was honest. Each one of his crew members were respectful and kind. At times, my daughter and I would observe the work being performed alternating from the front and back yard. After observing for a while, I was pleasantly surprised at how well each individual on the roof worked together. Pat, the owner, assured me he would be overseeing the work being done for each of the two days they were here. He stayed true to his word. The work required on our roof entailed having to tear-off two existing layers of shingles, as well as having to remove and replace all the dry-rotted plywood underneath. Pat and his team did an OUTSTANDING job in replacing all the damaged plywood, and old shingles. The old plywood boards were replaced with new boards called oriented strand boards, and the old roof shingles were replaced with premium Landmark shingles. The old roof flashings were expertly replaced with brand new ones, and ice/water shields were installed all the way around the perimeter of the house, including the valleys for extra weather-proof protection. Pat and a crew member closely inspected the gutters, all the way around the house, and installed tiny screws were the gutter had pulled away from the fascia a little. As a bonus I wasn't aware of until after the work was completed, our garage now has a ridge vent. Before, it had no ventilation. I was thrilled to discover this enhancement! As an aside, I had recently completed landscaping work around my home. Pat and his crew were extra careful not to disturb my trees and bushes. On a different note, not one of Pat's employees asked if they could use the facilities in my home. This was a relief due to the possibility of dirt getting tracked inside.

Apex Roofing came right out, found the problem right away, gave a great written estimate price, came out very promptly to fix it, had pride in their workmanship, and I am proud to say, I Have NO ROOF LEAKS any longer! When other companies could not find, nor fix my roof leak, this company found it right away! + -1 moreWe had ice dam buildup on a portion of the roof that resulted in a leak once some of the ice melted when temp. briefly went up to the 50 deg. F. range. We looked up Angie's List and after calling a few from the list, Apex was one that responded *and* was willing to come in over a weekend day (Saturday). They were prompt in returning our phone call and came the same day. They were courteous and respectful and professional. Apex recommended that a channel be cleared for the water from melting ice to go rather than clear the entire portion of the roof where the ice dame had built up in order to prevent damage to the shingles that may result from clearing all the ice. They cleared a path for the water runoff, suggested ways to dry the water that had leaked into a closet and provided an estimate for future repair and installation of ice shield in the Spring (Apr-May 2009). Very satisfied with their service and plan to use their services again in the spring.
Description of Work: Clear ice dam buildup (Feb. 2009) and provide estimate for future (to be performed Apr-May 2009 once winter is over and safe access to roof is available).

The price estimate was about middle of the group, they did the job for the price quoted. Any issues along the way were brought to our attention at the time. They even repainted some of the woodwork around the edges to make it look better! A truly professional job.
