Dave arrived right on time and went to work immediately. He was totally comfortable with me being by his side and he talked with me the entire time letting me know what he was seeing. He also gave me some great ideas on some simple things that would increase the value of the home immediately. Of major concern was water we found in the crawl space. He let me know that gutters needed to be a priority to get installed and explained what needed to happen to the landscape around the house to ensure all water channeled away from the home. He gave me good adivice on installing an insert into the fireplace and where to go for professional help in selecting the unit. He also told me that my tub was cast iron and would be worth my time to have it refinished vs replacing and told me a company that could do this work and vouched for their craftmenship. There was an old oil furnace that was demoed out but the duct work was left in the ceiling and he explained that I would get a chimney effect that would pull warm air out of the home and into the attic so said the ducting needed to come out and the ceiling hole patched before next winter. The inspection continued on like this with him explaining what he suggested in every room we visited. He even indicated that the electrical panel was up to code, but was completely full and would be good to replace with a bigger electrical panel down the road especially if I was thinking of doing remodeling. Dave was very pleasent and I felt he enjoyed his job. The price was steeper than I anticipated but I have to say, the information my money bought was well worth it. I know what criticle things need to happen to my new home and what things I can do to add immediate value as well. Would recommend Dave for house inspections but beware, he's pretty busy during the summer months. He will work with your schedule however.

Overall, Mr Rohman, performed and inspection of a house I was purchasing. He did a thourough job and I was satisfied with the work and the price.

The process went very smoothly. Dave showed up on time and was professional right from the start. Dave was kind and took the time to explain potential problems as well as positive aspects of the home. Dave is very knowledgeable about his craft. He would suggest value adding modifications to the house, but without mentioning that he could do it only offering an honest opinion. No sales pitch and definitely no pressure. The owner did not have the gas turned on so we checked everything in the house except for the furnace and airflow. Dave was able to come back a few days later as soon as the owner had the gas turned on. No extra charge for his time. Punctual and professional on the second time. Offered his cell number in case I had any further questions.
