Upon the referral of my sisterâ s friend, we reached out to Wayne Charles Montague II, on Sunday, 9/1/2024 for a quote to install a 120-feet chain link fence. Monday, 9/2/2024: Wayne quoted a price of $1333; $733 material and $600 labor. Wednesday, 9/11/2024: Wayne provided a written work agreement and received a $733 check for the materials. Thursday, 9/12/2024: Wayne cashed the check. Saturday, 9/21/2024: The work was scheduled to commence. Then came a series of excuses. Saturday, 9/21/2024: Wayne to Gwen â Good morning I hate to do this but I have to change job till Monday my power digger broke yesterday. Friday, 9/27/2024: Wayneâ s phone â This is Wayneâ s wife he in hospital since Thursday hopefully getting out today. Tuesday, 10/1/2024: Wayne arrived and placed some [not all] of the posts, indicating that he would return on Thursday to attach the fencing wire. Thursday, 10/3/2024: Wayne â Morning Patricia, Iâ m not making excuses. I hate to do this, but my truck is in the shop getting brakes done today. [Stating that he would finish the job tomorrow; 10/4/2024] Friday, 10/4/2024: Patricia to Wayne â Approximately what time should we expect you? WE NEVER HEARD FROM WAYNE AGAIN!!!!!!! From 10/4/2024 to 10/10/2024, between my sister and me we made 11 phone calls and sent 24 text messages. We received â Read Receiptsâ for the texts, so we know for certain that HE WAS CHOOSING TO IGNORE OUR COMMUNICATION ATTEMPTS. We also searched the internet and found a few potential home addresses. Friday, 10/11/2024, my sister and I drove to a few of the addresses and located Wayne Montague at 8311 Camelot Blvd, Mount Morris, MI 48458. I photographed his truck and the contents of his â openâ garage. There WAS NOT sufficient fencing material inside to complete MY job, although on 9/30/2024 he stated, â I have the materials. Theyâ re all paid for.â Wayne came out to speak to us and immediately started with his excuses again. He acknowledged receiving our texts and phone calls, but provided no explanation as to why he REFUSED to respond. I demanded my money back, to which he â promisedâ to come â next weekâ . Again, I demanded my money back. He stated that he had already purchased the materials. He stated that he didnâ t have the money and then went inside his house. Read the reviews by Doron P. and Pam J. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this guy. He will OVER PROMISE and NOT DELIVER!!!!!

In response to an Angi's contractor request, Wayne contacted us in late May. He very promptly came to give us an estimate on June 1. After some clarifications on where we want the fence and that we preferred black vinyl coated chain linked fencing, he texted us the final contract on June 7. This was done very promptly and the contract said he would install approx. 150 ft of 4ft fencing with 2 gates for $3400. Verbally he said the fencing was in stock and that it would be completed in a week or two depending on the weather. Communication was good until June 16, when I asked whether he got the check and he said yes, but gave no explanation for why the installation was not being scheduled. June 20th I asked when we could expect the fence to be installed. Although he had said this fencing was in stock, he now said he ordered it and would let me know when it was in. July 2 I asked about the fence. He said he would ask the supplier after the 4th of July holiday weekend. On July 9th I hadn't heard from him so I asked again. On July 11 he said he hadn't heard from his supplier. I asked for the name of his supplier. He responded that he was in the hospital and that he would start the last week of July. At this point I suspected he was lying because, after some research I found a review that said he had contracted with someone, taken half their money and never done the work. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, on July 12 I asked that since he was sick it might be better if we took this project off his plate and he just refunded us the $1700. However, he is no longer responding to my texts. He is either really sick or a crook. On July 17th I asked him to refund me the $1700 through venmo, a cashiers check or a money order. On July 28, I told him that if he has not refunded the money by August 8th, we would begin legal proceedings and that we would seek $1700 plus service fees, court filing, attorneys fees and interest.

Wayne lied about the time it would take to put up a fence. We hired him January 4th. He told us 1 week. He told us over and over he would be here on Monday etc and it never happened. Still waiting on our fence to be put in. Do not recommend this man.

Highly recommend. I checked into a few companies and Iâ m so happy that I chose Link It Fence. They were so great to deal with and did an Outstanding job! No pressure or surprises. They are reliable and take pride in their work. Iâ m extremely happy with my new fence. It looks absolutely Amazing And my pups are not escaping! All for a great price. Thank you Wayne and crew, I truly appreciate your hard work!

They installed nearly 400ft of fence and two gates I could not be happier with the work. The guys were great to work with and the job looks great Thank You.

These guys were great, only bummer which I can correct myself was the double gate opens weird, One section is over the sidewalk and the other is over grass. The primary opener is the one over grass. I can fix this but otherwise, these guys work on priority rather than scheduling. My son has autism and is a runner. We had the fence in, in 1 week. Awesome Job Wayne and Mike.

Very professional, timely, courteous and exceeded my expectations. Will recommend to others looking for fencing work.

They installed a twenty foot section of fence added a new four foot gate and repaired a couple of boo-boos. I consider it an excellent job. Give them a Six star review.

The only problem I had was he never showed on the days he said he would. Nor did he call to let me know he wasn't comin or why he didn't show. I would call him to see what time he was coming and he would say he wasn't coming for whatever reason, or he didn't show up because he was sick. Other then that, I had no problems.

Link a fence owner Wayne really did a excellent job I am so happy with this he is so professional you need to know something he would take time and answer your questions . His two workers were very professional also. I would highly recommend this company and his workers .Also when he said he was going to be there he was there. I rate him a solid five. Wayne was always keeping us updated as the process was going along. He really listened to what we wanted. The lines of communication were great and if we had any questions they were answered very quickly! Him and his crew did a amazing job on the fence installation. We would definitely recommend Link it Fence to any of our friends and family!
