These guys make you pay $200 before they will even talk to you. Then they make you pay 20% NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT . Then as things move along, they will inform you of certain things, like making a diagram of the area that they say, needs to be detailed and you can do it yourself, but they will not give you any assistance of what the county needs. So, they offer to do it for you for $500. Makes it sound like its difficult. I paid them the NON REFUNDABLE $500 and they sent me the diagram to approve before sending it to the county. Its a Google Map view with a few different shading areas and a few numbers on it. Probably too about 10 minutes to make. Then, after all is said and done, they want the balance paid upon the arrival of the one person that will dig the pond before he even starts. I changed my mind because it was taking way too long and the permits are just crazy. They know people change their minds. Thats why the make you pay up front all the NON REFUNDABLE money. Would highly recommend Schlicht ponds, they did an excellent job with digging my new pond. And the price was right. Started and finished when they said they would, final grade looks amazing! Couldn't be happier.

Scottie and his crew turned my swamp into an oasis. He pulled the permits, done the work promised and faster than ehat I thought. All I had to do was pass the greenbacks, they took care of the rest. Nobody would go near my swamp but now everyone wants to hand out at my pond. You can't go wrong with Schlicht Excavating. My pond was horrible and now it looks like SCHLICHT!

The work went great. They notified us ahead of time when they were planning to start work and how long it would take. They showed up and made rapid progress and finished within a few days. The design they came up with for the pond was great. We couldn't have hoped for it to turn out better. Dave and his team were all very nice and great to interact with. I'm looking forward to using their services in the future.

We live on a lake and couldn't use canal, so gave them a call after a recommendation from my neighbor. They did a great job with clearing the muck and weeds of of canal now can get my boat in and out. Couldn't be happier
