Auto Service
We took our van in for simple maintenance and tune up. The van had been running a little rough and it was time for new plugs and wires. We dropped it off first thing in the morning and Bob's Auto said, that is was no problem they would call when it was done and they expected it to be done around lunch. Well, I called around 3pm because, they hadn't called at all and that's when they informed me that it wasn't done and wouldn't be done until around 4pm. I went over to the shop at 4pm and they said it was done. After I had paid, I went out to the van, started it up and noticed it was still a little rough. I pulled out of the driveway and the van stalled. They came out, tightened a couple of wires and said it was fine. I drove it home and by the time I got home, I noticed that the "check engine" light came on and it was running worse than before. I took it back the next day and found out that they had mixed up the wires when doing the tune-up. They told me to pull-in and they'd fix the wires. An hour later, the wires were back on correctly and I drove the van home. It still was running rough and a couple days later, the engine light came back on. I took it back in because, it was barely drivable. They then told me that I needed a coil pack and they could have it done by the end of the day. So, I left it there and at the end of the day (this is Friday), I called to make sure it was done. It wasn't done and they said, it wouldn't be done until Monday...leaving me without a vehicle for the weekend. They finally called at the end of the day on Monday, said it was fixed, and assured me that it should run fine. I drove it home but, I had to stop several times to turn off the van because the engine light kept coming on. So, the next day, I called right when they opened and said, it was still having problems. They then proceeded to tell me that I would need exhaust intake sensor that was very expensive. By that time, I told them to forget it. I am convinced that their shoddy workmanship for a simple maintenance repair (the tune-up) is what caused our van's problems. I will never go there again and I don't recommend them to any person needing auto repair.
