John and his crew was very professional and did a great job from beginning to end. We could not be more pleased with our new patio area. John even through in 3 dragonfly stamps that the wife loves. We would recommend John's Decorative Cement for any stamped concrete job.
Description of Work: We had a stamped concrete patio put in our back yard off of our deck

If you are looking for an epoxy floor, this is definitely not the company you want to hire. John Schimmel is totally unqualified to install an epoxy floor. he took about a week to "prep" and install the floor, and it looked great initially; but it only lasted about three months before big bubbles started appearing. By six months it was like walking on bubble wrap in large sections of the floor. The bubbles would burst and you could peel up big sheets of the floor. We contacted John and had several cordial conversations over the next year, but he failed to honor several promises to return. We had three other professionals look at the floor and they all said it was the worst job they had ever seen. They said the floor wasn't prepared properly - no grinding, no vapor barrier, he didn't even remove the tar from the original linoleum layer. They even took pictures to show future clients what happens when a floor is not properly prepared. We chose one of these professionals to replace the entire floor and are happy with what is obviously a better quality product. Save yourself a lot of disappointment, time and money ....look elsewhere for your epoxy floor.
Description of Work: As part of a larger remodel project, we wanted to replace our basement flooring. The linoleum tile had been there for decades, was terribly outdated and was in need of repair, so we decided to replace it with an entirely new epoxy floor.

It went great. I can't recommend John more. His price was very reasonable. The job was done excellently and we get constant compliments on his work. He was very timely. He never missed an appointment or a day of work. Nothing was postponed. And he was flexible. The job started later than we had anticipated (due to our new home builders not getting us final grade as soon as they were supposed to) but he was able to work with us and finish the job once the city signed off on our home's elevation. Bottom line: John is friendly, professional, prompt, and does EXCELLENT work. You can't go wrong hiring the man for your job.
Description of Work: Designed and installed an exposed aggregate patio with fire pit. Plus, he wrapped a sidewalk around the house and attached it to the new patio.
