J.E. Johnson is a family owned Mechanical Contracting company with over 41 years of continued service in the Great Lakes Bay Region. The corporate office is located in Midland, MI. Our Commercial/Industrial Technicians provide HVAC/R services to the entire lower peninsula. Our Residential Heating & Cooling service team focuses on the Great Lakes Bay Region making our customers our top priority. JEJ has over 20 service vans on the road at any given time and over 250 years of combined experience just in our service department. Very well, other organizations required a two week Lead time. They were able to visit on the same day. They were on time, they diagnosed the issue and corrected the problem.

The folks at JE Johnson were responsive and professional. They gave me a few options to choose from to fit my budget. We were in a time of need (our house flooded) and JE Johnson really came through for us.

I had J.E.Johnson out for a service call on my furnace and they arrived very quickly. The tech's attention to detail and explanation of the problem was TOP NOTCH!! We were back up in no time. I would definitely call them again, NO QUESTION!!

My home warranty company sent J.E. Johnson to look at sump pump drainage issues. First off, they showed up 45 minutes late. This is certainly excusable and not the reason for my poor rating. The technician they sent out, Dakota, thought he was there to install a new sump pump. In my previous conversation with the manager, Scott, I explicitly told him that my sump pump was working fine, that I was having a drainage problem. After I told Dakota that I didn't need a new sump pump installed, he told me they would have to sent someone else out to look at it because he is an HVAC tech and not a plumber. He snapped a couple of photos and was on his way. It is certainly not Dakota's fault that his manager Scott sent out the wrong person for the job, but I will say that he looked very young and green, and probably not the guy I would want working on my home. It turns out my home warranty would not cover any drainage issues anyway, so I was stuck the $75 service call fee, which I paid on the spot (I probably should have refused to pay as they sent out an unqualified person). To be clear, nothing was fixed and no diagnosis to my problem was given. Had they sent out a plumber, maybe I could have at least received some advice or insight into my problem. So ok, $75 down the drain, I can live with that. The next problem began after I realized that my home warranty company had already collected the $75 fee, and JE Johnson should never have collected a second payment from me during the service call. I contacted my home warranty company and they assured me they would reach out to JE Johnson to refund my $75, as it had already been paid. To make a long story short, it has been 2 or 3 months and I have still not received that money back from JE Johnson. I have spoken with Scott several times and either he is a very confused about the situation or he is flat out lying to me. Still working on getting my money back. Thanks JE Johnson.
