Of course, only time will tell how long my driveway will last, but it appears that they did a great job. They prepared the soil much better than the original job, bedded with gravel, and compacted well. The surface finish and saw cuts were done well also. Mike and Joe were great to work with and their crew seemed to be very professional. They worked well with my landscaper to improve the drainage around the driveway as well. I am very likely to have them do more work for me in the future.

This company is the BEST. ROMANA did a terrific job. I received a phone call advising me of day and time they were coming. They were punctual. The head of the crew walked me around the property to double check what I wanted done. On day 1 they removed old surfaces and formed the perimeter. On day 2 six guys carefully laid the concrete. On day 3 the concrete was scored to prevent the concrete from cracking from frigid weather. Everything was done perfectly and to my specifications. I highly recommend Romana.

They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and how they said they would do it, all of those aspects being very positive. The crew at the work site were very professional and were very careful of our lawn and making sure that the clean-up was done very well. I have had no cracks or deterioration in the concrete since it was installed 2 years ago. When I have called them with questions about sealing the concrete after 2 years, they were very quick to get back to me and offered any advice that I needed. I would highly recommend them, even to my family. I would give them an A+!

I would give them an A+++ They were very timely. Whatever they promised, they did. They have exceeded my expectations. The price was great. The people that came out and did the work were extremely courteous and professional. They were wonderful.

In summary, Romana provided outstanding value for the money. They clearly respect customers and are committed to making customers fully satisfied. Romana's communication throughout the estimation, contracting, and work completion was outstanding. This is very valuable to me. All information provided was very professional, complete, and detailed. I interpreted that the owners really enjoy working with people, providing service, and delivering an excellent result. There were a couple of cosmetic flaws in the installation, which was performed early in the construction season. It was difficult to establish a opening in their busy schedule to resolve the issues, but they were fixed to my satisfaction within a few weeks. Considering that there were some things to be fixed after they completed the work, I cannot say the quality fully met my expectations. However, the excellence of the overall service experience, very competitive price, and final result were overwhelmingly positive. I respect the challenges a contractor faces in delivering a consistent product/service. If you are extremely picky about every detail and expect perfection in concrete work, I recommend Romana. But if this is the expectation, make sure to take the time to explain the most important details when requesting the estimate to ensure these needs are taken into consideration in the price. If you are interested in high quality at a reasonable cost, Romana is an outstanding choice.

From start to finish Romana Construction did an outstanding job. Our property is located on very hilly and uneven terrain which required special attention to water runoff and drainage. The owners, Mike and Joe Iaquaniella, made skillful recommendations that met our requirements and both were courteous and accommodating during the entire project . Forms were put in place on one day by an eight man crew followed by pouring and finishing a second day. The skill level and experience of everyone involved was very impressive and their efficiency made the job go smoothly and quickly, all of which resulted in our complete satisfaction.  You won't find a better concrete/construction company to work with. They have been in business for almost sixty years and there's a reason for that; they do good work. Period.

Great job. They were very professional and quick to respond to our questions and concerns. They kept us informed and the clean up after the job was superb. They even hosed down the street in front of my home. Mike and Joe were awesome the whole time. I would highly recommend their company.

Romana Construction originally came out to give us an estimate on our project in March 2015, and they were the first estimate we ever received for concrete work.  Mike, the owner, came out promptly and he was very nice and professional and straight forward about the pricing structure.  He also thoroughly explained the process and what we could expect from Romana Construction.  We felt very comfortable with Mike from Day #1, and we were ready to sign up that day if the estimate matched our expectations, but after seeing the estimate, we were in a state of sticker shock, so we decided to schedule estimates with other contractors to compare and see who was the most reasonable.
No less than 10 concrete contractors came to our home after the original estimate with Romana.  With each contractor that came to give us an estimate, we not only realized that many of these companies were priced significantly higher than Romana, but we also came to realize that we didn't feel nearly as comfortable with any of them as we felt when Mike visited.  We knew at that point that we had to use Romana for our project, and in September 2015 we called Mike to come out and give us another estimate.  He arrived on time once again, and gave us a detailed estimate for our project that was in line with the original proposal.  We discussed details of the project and scheduled the work to be done the week of October 19th, 2015.
Prior to scheduled day of the work, Mike was very accommodating in helping us to choose colors and patterns for our stamped concrete.  He even met with us 3 separate times at their building to show us samples and help us choose a color and pattern that we would be 100% satisfied with, many times meeting us later in the evening to help accommodate our work schedules.
On the days that the work was performed, Mike?s brother, Joe (who is also a company owner), came to the house with a crew of 10 to 12 guys to perform the work.  Joe is the Foreman who makes sure the project goes according to plan at the worksite, and he walked around with us each day there to go over the plans with us and answer any questions.  Just like Mike, Joe is somebody we felt very comfortable working with right away, and customer satisfaction is his number one concern.
The project only took them 3 days.  The 1st day, they removed the old concrete, graded and compacted the base material, and
put in the forms.  The 2nd day, after we verified the forms were exactly what we visualized for our design, they poured and finished the concrete for everything (including the stamped concrete).  Lastly, on the 3rd day, they came out to saw cut the concrete and seal it to give it that ?finished? look.
We cannot say enough positive things about Romana Construction.  They were an absolute pleasure to do business with.  Mike and Joe communicate well, the stand behind their work, they answer questions both prior and after the job is done, and they genuinely care.  Their crew is efficient, skilled, and professional.  Their equipment is top notch, allowing them to work efficiently.  But most importantly, not only is their finished product beautiful, but the service and comfort they provide their customers knowing the job will be done right is the difference Romana Construction and 99% of contractors out there.  We would highly recommend Romana Construction to anybody, and would not hesitate to use them again for any projects in the future.

The owner of the company arrived on time and estimated the job. A 70 by 18 foot driveway with a slope to the road. The crew came out on time and broke up and removed the asphalt and laid a good foundation. Two days later they arrived on time again and poured the new driveway. We had them widen it as well. Later they cut the lines. It looks great, absolutely no issues. The edge to the asphalt road looks good. Our neighbor north weston a perpendicular street across from us used the same company and their's looks great as well. It has been two months for us and about four for them. Fantastic company, we would use again.

From start to finish our experience with Romana was outstanding. Mike estimated our full project (demo old garage, new floor and foundation, and new 2-car garage). Our project was unique since we were asking them to build a detached garage that would be insulated, drywalled and heated so some of the questions we asked were not run of the mill (i.e. we wanted a heavier vapor barrier and wire mesh in addition to fiber mesh blended into the mix). We elected to use Romana for the concrete only, and we could not be happier.
Mike was extremely responsive up until and during the actual concrete pouring (I texted him just about every day). His brother Joe and their crew could not have been nicer. They told us when they would show up, they arrived on time, worked diligently, and left our yard very clean after they were gone. We could not believe how quickly they took up the old concrete and poured the new.
We were also on a tight schedule nearing the end of the conrete season due to weather, and we only ended up pushing the form and pour dates back by a few days due to rain earlier in the scheduled week.
Overall Romana's service, quality, cleanliness, responsiveness, and caring were impeccable. Their bid was a bit higher than what we had been quoted by a competitor, but it was worth a few extra dollars for us to have the job done right and this fall. We will be using them for our driveway in the spring.
