We used Remington as part of a major renovation project. We used some of our original hardwoods (clear grade white oak) and had new hardwood installed (supposedly red oak - select and better)) in the remainder of the house. Overall, the installation of the flooring was quite good. The problem was with the finish work. Remington sanded the floors, applied one coat of stain, followed by three coats of sealer. When we returned to our home to see the finished product, we were extremely dissatisfied with the end result. We see chatter marks throughout the house. In additional there were several spots that had blobs of sealer. We contacted the owner and he came out and looked at the floors and just shrugged his shoulders. He gave no explanation for the chatter marks, but did offer to send a crew out to repair the blobs. They came out and the repairs make the floors look worse. Now we have hazy spots on the floor in addition to chatter marks. The owner suggested it was the wood - (which he provided). The "chatter" is discussed in a blog from City Floor Supply ([*** Link removed ***] From what we can determine, this is a equipment maintenance issue, not the fault of the wood. This was not an insignificant amount of money, and Remington was NOT the LOW BID. I would not recommend them if you want the best quality.

They were phenomenal. They’re going to do my other floor too. They did a beautiful job. Their prices were reasonable. They used real wood that they had to sand. This flooring is only about an inch and a quarter wide. It’s very narrow. It’s an old house and I’m refurbishing it the way it was. I told the owner, Mike, that the one guy that ripped off my floor was here all day. He was the only one and nobody helped him. I told Mike that he better pay him well.
Description of Work: Remington Floor did my floor. Several years ago, they refinished my bedroom and my hall. They put in and installed the floors in my kitchen, another room and the hallway.
