COVELLA HOMES LLC

Craig Kleiver is the owner of Covella Homes LLC. He was careful to explain the contract and what it contained. He only required a 10% down payment on the project but did want payments to cover any changes or overages. I did spend more than the allowances in most cases and I also expanded the job and did pay for those increases. However, he never asked for any additonal funds on the original contract until it was completed and all inspections done and passed. The project began on time and ended on the scheduled date. There were some delays, but they were not the fault of Covella Homes LLC. Danford flooring measured for the tile and designed the layout and failed to order enough tile. Waiting for special order took 8 days. Some of the fixtures from Kohler did not arrive as promised. However, Craig (Covella Homes) was not responsible for those delays. All the subcontractors that worked for Covella Homes were prompt about showing up when they said they would. All were polite and easy to work with. They did an excellent job. Craig did not object to my making changes with plans. There were a couple of minor things that were done that I did not agree with method. He initially said they won't be noticed when it was all done and I requested that it be corrected anyway and he did do that. So Everything was done to my satisfaction. During the demolition of the bathroom and removal of the old cast-iron tub, some damage was done to the walls in the adjoining room. Craig brought this to my attention and said he would be responsible for repairing the damage. He did do that. All in all a good experience. As with any construction project, it was messy and disruptive but the various tradesmen that came here were as unobtrusive and they could be. They all cleaned up after themselves each day so it was as neat as it possibly could be. I am very happy with the finished room. I would not hesitate to use Covella Homes LLC again and would definately recommend his as a reliable, honest and capable contractor.
