Very well. Steve quickly installed a compression valve to replace the standard valve, which is perpetually open due to age and wear & tear. He then darined the boiler tank, and began filling it with "Sizzle", a liquid compound that is meant to dissolve the (many) years of mineral deposits lining the boiler, making it take much longer to heat the water, causing me a lot of extra natural gas each winter month. He then showed me how to drain, refill & drain the tank after the solution was left in the tank for at least 12 hours, including how to use test strips he provided to check the acidity of the outgoing water, so I knoew when the water was Ph-neutral, and I could stop flushing it out. His directions were very clear, and I had no issues with the process. Steve even called me to check in & see how it went, offering to come back free of charge & double-check my work. This project is the fourth one Steve has done at our house, the previous including replacement of our shower valves, replacement of our toilet feed valve, and replacing broken coin valves on our heating pipes, which had resulted in water damage to the main floor of our living room.
