About us

Home Evaluation Services is a serviced based business focusing on home inspections, energy audits, energy ratings, building diagnostics, thermal imaging, radon testing / mitigation. We love houses. Have received training from ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), certified HERS rater, BPI (Building Performance Institute) building analyst and trainer, previous experience includes 12 years in sales, design, installation and service with plumbing and mechanical contractor. Held a State of Michigan builders license in the mid 90s.

Gary was very detailed and explained everything as he saw it.  He had suggestions for how to attack the problems and recommendations for contractors to do the work.  I contacted him more than a year later to ask for a recommendation for an insulation contractor and information on finding the septic components and he was very helpful.  He also had suggestions on ways to make the house more efficient from adding/changing the insulation of the crawlspace to combining the electric service of the house and garage.  Some things weren't inspected (the roof) due to the time of year and snowcover.
