Comes across in initial contacts as good guy. However, this 3 ("4 at most") month job was not completed (rough finish only required) 9 months later when I finally terminated job. The delays seem to start early with permitting process, then there were long periods when nothing was done and no communication. There was an absence of care about how the job was being done. Partial framing not covered so rainstorm caused damage to existing home - a point of contention in final settlement. Constantly found dirt, shoe marks and plaster on existing hardwood floors (didn't cover or clean up!) and finger prints and other marks on existing walls. Had check list for final settlement that included confirming that sealing and siding done on portion of old house that was not visible except for high ladder. He stated that this was done (couldn't confirm without high ladder). Was approximately 4 months later when found animals in attic that became evident this was not done properly. Had to hire a lawyer to get him to come and seal properly. Also, gave estimates for upgrades and in final settlement tried to collect 8x estimate because "it cost more than I thought". Bottom line - more than double time estimate, lot of collateral damage to existing structure, unresponsive/no followup, cost overruns.
