This company pulled a bait and switch on me. They advertised the storage unit I rented from them online for $66.00. This ad did not state that it was a limited time introductory offer. I visited the facility and Donnell Sanders escorted me to the unit that was available for the $66.00. During the tour of the facility I specifically asked Mr. Sanders if the $66.00 was an introductory offer. He stated that the $66.00 was the price. He did not say that it was a limited time introductory price. Mr. Sanders also denies that he ever told me that. He either doesn't remember or he was outright lying in order to get the new business. I had someone with me that day who also heard him tell me this and I know they have security cameras so if they play the tape back on that day you will clearly see that it was him that gave me the tour and I did have another person with me. They are now raising the price of the unit to almost double to $126.00. They should have been honest and up front at the time of the tour before I signed up and moved all my stuff from the unit I had to this one. As it turns out the unit I moved from is a better deal now then the one at Compass. If they would have been honest with me from the beginning I would never had moved from the company I was with. They were deceptive in their advertising as well as not being honest when asked about the true price during the facility tour.

Be very careful when reserving a storage unit with Compass Self Storage, since the reservation is meaningless if another customer comes in wanting the unit you had put a deposit down on.  I placed a deposit down on a unit and they rented it to another customer because they were able to charge them more.  They were unable to offer a comparable unit in time for my move.
Mike is unfriendly, not helpful, and he also refused to give me a phone number for customer service.  He also accused me of lying and changed his story numerous times on the phone.
