He tried to sell me on a remote system, and wanted to rip up my carpet to run the line.  He never even checked for an existing phone in the wall.  He was supposed to run the line in the wall, and he did, but had it come out of the wall and ran it down the outside put the face plate on top of the wire.  Then he shut the face plate ontop of the wire instead of putting a hole in the plate and threading it through..  I made him cut a hole through the plate as it should have been.  Before he went to the attic and told me he knew how to walk on the rafters to not cause damage.  He ended up cracking the sheet rock and the frame in my ceiling in garage and livingroom.

They do just fine. We have not have any issues with they and they do a great job.

I had this "service" for 2 years at about $50/month; the $600 figure I entered here refers to the annual cost for the monitoring service. My issues with ADT (all locations) are numerous:

1. 1) Any company that locks you into a 3 year contract has to do that because their customers would leave otherwise.
2. 2) This company charges you to come fix a system they installed. 
3. 3) When the alarm goes off, they call you to ask if you want the police called. That's next to useless. By the time the police arrive, thieves can be gone.
4. 4) Even after a service call is performed, my system never worked properly. I had to diagnose and fix the problems the technician couldn't resolve. 

I paid the early termination fee to get rid of them. If you're looking for real security, stick to things like internet enabled cameras with sound capabilities. At least then, you can monitor your home properly and call the police if you see trouble. It's much cheaper and gives you REAL peace of mind.

They did a good job. They were quick, fast and not too expensive.  They are clean.

Security system did not work.  After multiple service calls (each one costing several 100 dollars) we gave up and went to another vendor.

Prompt and courteous. Cleaned up after himself, answered our questions, and explained use of system. No way you can get system installed for what the commercials claim. I didn't save anywhere near what they claimed I would on insurance either.

Everything went as expected. The salesperson and technicians were very friendly and professional. They were patient and willing to answer any questions I had.

I wasn't extremely impressed with the girl that I talked with on the phone to get general information, and setting up and appointment. I don't think she was very knowledgeable, she gave me some information that wasn't totally accurate, which was I think because she didn't know. The technician that came out to explain everything and do the installation was superb, both in his knowledge and his abilities.

They charged us because the old windows already had censors, which was not theirs; but when we installed new windows, they had to put their new censors in.  They missed one window in the garage and they were supposed to call and come back to do that, which they have not done.  We are not happy with some of the services.

I switched to another alarm company after using ADT for two months.  I am very disappointed in their service.  They had a very hard time wiring everything.  It took them about a week to do it and it didn’t even work right.  They put in old panels, everything they put in was old and wasn’t state of the art.  It was not worth what we paid for.  We had so many issues, like were afraid to set the alarms in the night because it would go off, so we never even set it.  They never offered to give us a refund of at least half of what we paid as we only had it for three months.  They even had a service charge for a contract that we signed.  Everything had to be signed before they even did the work, I wouldn't have done that if I had known it would end up like this.

They are a national company. I have not had to use the system till date. 

The man, who came out, was very efficient. He really knew his craft. They put the alarm back together and made it work. They also monitored it well. When I initially started using them, I went out without taking the alarm off. They do not have to come out and do anything because I have not had a burglary. Whenever something happens with the code, I can call them and they will walk me through it. They are very friendly. When I call, they are very polite. 

I am using them since I moved here.

I have been using ADT for 20 years and I will continue to use their services.

I have had no problems with the service. They have not had to come out a lot either.

Here in Michigan the police department downsized so they said that they wouldn’t be responding to alarm going off unless something is happening. The alarm company had to start using security cars to come out so they raised the rates. But now they got happy with that extra money and are raising it again. I think that’s terrible because I am a senior citizen, retired and on a limited income. Sometimes the alarm goes off by mistake when my dog goes out of the rear door and I close the door really fast. Then I get to the front door and cut the alarm off. They never called me so when I called them they said they didn’t get it. They should have just called my phone. I could’ve fallen and knocked myself out. I pay to respond. ADT is terrible, so when I can, I will look for someone else who will respond. 

They are very accurate on their response. A couple of weeks ago, my grandson left one of my door unlocked when he came home and he opened it up and the burglar alarm went off and they called me immediately within a couple of seconds.

Everything went well. They were prompt, and professional. I was comfortable with the price. I would use their services again.

My husband seems to be satisfied with their service because he has yet to switch providers.

We have been using them for about 5 years. The security system is nice. If the alarm goes off they don't initially call right away. That is nice because we do that a lot. The system is nice and it works.

They are very prompt to call when you are in the middle of your dinner.

It was fine. They were flexible for scheduling the appointments.
