Yes, I recommend this pro

After the great flood of 2014 my blower motor on my 29 year old furnace was shot. I called several other company's to get estimates. Craig from Rawley HVAC was my 4th call after a friend at work recommend him. We spoke over the phone and I explained what I was dealing with. We set up a time a week later for him to come take a look at the set up and give a proper estimate. He was on time and professional. Most of all during his 20 minute appointment he was honest. He asked the square footage of my house and checked my ducked work. I asked his opinion if I should just replace the blower motor and hope the furnace will last a few more years. He said he could do it but also cautioned me that I might be throwing money out the window with such an old furnace. We discussed 80% over the 90% efficient furnaces. I was on the fence and he gave me both the pro's and con's of each with no pressure. I ended up going with the 80%. I wanted to make sure the furnace wasn't a low grade model and Craig explained what he has experienced in the past and the current brand he uses and why. I had a few special request for the install, one being the furnace be placed on cinder blocks to keep it off the ground incase of another flood and my second request was to add a plug to the furnace so I could run my generator to it directly. Both these request were done with no problem.
We set up an install date the following week. Craig arrived on time with his father, who helps him and began the install. Now me being mechanically inclined and a new home owner with no knowledge of heating I asked Craig if I could help and watch the install. I told him I didn't want to get in the way but wanted to understand what all was involved. He had no issues with me being a "apprentice." The install took a full 8 hours. Working next to him for almost the whole time was a great learning experience. You could tell he had been doing this a long time with his dad and was even explaining what he was doing so I could understand.
After the new furnace was installed he took the old one with him and cleaned up his work area. He also ran a magnet in the driveway where he was cutting metal so our dogs wouldn't cut their feet, this was very much appreciated. He also explained this new furnace would run longer and circulate the air better. He went over how to use the humidifier and general maintenance. Again he was very patient with ALL my questions.
This was a great learning experience and I couldn't be happier. It's hard now a days to find an honest repair man. I will defiantly recommend him to family and friends!
