Federal Fence

I hired Federal Fence to do wood fence repair and install lattice around deck. They were prompt in responding in person to look at what needed to be done and their estimate was very reasonable especially in comparison to other companies. Others I contacted asked me to send photos and, despite high reviews, one was extremely slow to respond and one didn’t respond at all. Once I signed the contract the materials were ordered right away and, within a week, the work had been completed. Ty and Amanda are perfectionists. They knew ways to work around issues that arose, like uneven ground, so that the end result was beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I would not recommend this company at all because they took my deposit of $3498 on 4/14 /23 and they came out to install the fence. Ms Digg had not been out but they went ahead and dug anyway. They cut my electrical line to my house in two spots and then hold me they were canceling my contract as they were charged $7000 in fees, fines, and bad workmanship and that 4 other jobs were completely destroyed. Gabriella told me I would be getting a refund and then Greg stated I was not getting a refund that the deposit covered the cost of the fence that is in my backyard laying behind my shed and I have not heard anything from them. FYI - before they cancelled my contract they wanted to come out and reassessed my backyard with the third contractor and I told them I wanted to be there and they told me it wasnâ t necessary and I told them not to come on my property unless I was there and that was when they canceled my contract.

I hired federal fence to install a vinyl privacy fence in May of 2023. He required a deposit for materials. At the time he told me my job would be 6-7 weeks out, by that time I received an email stating he had a heart attack. After talking with his daughter, and shortly thereafter I received an email from Greg saying he was back to work and a new date for installation. I started calling Greg 2 weeks prior to my installation date to make sure he was still coming on that date, no return calls, finally I got an answer to my email where he stated he would not be doing my job and will be refunding my deposit. Today is October 6,2023. After I hired a lawyer, Greg has not responded to my lawyers phone calls or letters. Today is October 6,2023 still I have not had the opportunity to have a verbal conversation with Greg nor has he yet refunded my money. This man has stolen a lot of money from me and possibly others. If his heart problems are the truth maybe that is why he is had so much bad luck because in my eyes he is a scammer and dishonest!

The dumpster arrived early one morning and was picked up fairly quickly. We were told to get rid of anything else we need to dispose of while it was still parked in the driveway. The owner, Greg, was on site some of the time and helped to finish the job on the third day. The price was reasonable compared to the 3 other estimates I had gathered. They went above and beyond to do the job right. I would hire them again. The new privacy fence looks great. As it turned out, Greg remembered my husband from when he was in junior high school. He is energetic, hard-working and honest.

We have a strong reason to believe that Greg at Federal Fence has been dishonest. He took our deposit of $2,347 in July and informed us the materials would take 5 weeks to manufacture and also needed to schedule the labor install. (Total of 6-7 weeks) After numerous attempts-to obtain an install date, he finally responded he was to complete the job on 9/5. We then proceeded to remove all our arborvitaes where the fence was to be installed before Gregâ s proposed installation date of 9/5. Subsequently, now this area is wide open with no privacy. The September 5th install date was approaching and we had to reach out again to confirm. At that time, Greg indicated a 10-14 day delay due to weather as an excuse to procrastinate/postpone the installation date multiple times. We questioned if he had ordered our material yet and whether the material was already in stock? He responded he had it all in 9/8. We reached out to the manufacture, and they said no order has been placed from Federal Fence for our project with the style we ordered. After we discovered he was caught in a lie, we requested that Greg refund our deposit, or we will file complaint with Angi. He promised he would refund our money but continued to change the refund date. We still havenâ t received the refund. Weâ ve removed all arborvitaes before Greg proposed installation date of 9/5 and now this area is wide open with no privacy. We need our money back to move forward and to order the material and install the fence before the ground becomes frozen. The manufacturer lead time is 8 weeks. We trust that Angi customer solution team can assist us in obtaining our refund of $2,347 deposit money back.

Do not trust anybody. the guy told me that he will back in two weeks but he never show up I called the office the guy voice said that maybe next year and I need the job done.
