Even though he gave me almost- there were more things I needed to get once he started. The bathroom floors all had the grout discolor badly. He said it was the humidity...hmmm as a professional why wasn't that made a problem before my floors turned 3 shades of tan?
I called and he had to come out to use acid on it to try and repair the color issue. It was bearable after. But he only fixed one of the bathroom floors, the other is HORRIBLE and he even noted it. I then noticed the worse concern ever, the cracks in grout on the shower floor-- I called and he came out again, this time I had to go get more grout, and he allegedly patched it...except now it is cracking even worse where he fixed it!!! So now I sent pictures, sent an email and no response...figures...no money no fix no customer service....NO recommendation. DO NOT USE HIM you will pay in the long term for the short term vision of cost- ugh!

Had Conquest Tile complete 2 bathroom floors, grout an additional and tile a shower curb. Initially, Jim answered phone calls, was on time, courteous and professional. Price was competitive. This was all until about a week after he installed the tile, a couple tiles were coming loose.  Also, the shower curb he installed was angled outward rather than inward, so I had to redo the entire curb.  He scheduled follow-up appointments to make things right several times (dragging things on for months) but never actually showed up for them.  Now he doesn't even answer my calls.  Regardless of the upfront professionalism, it doesn't make sense to me to hire someone who does poor quality work.  I initially wrote him a great review but since the quality of work plummeted (didn't even last a week) and he is very unprofessional, I had to make a more-appropriate review.  I gave him months to make things right but he just wasn't interested in honoring his work.

Took alot of attempts to get the work scheduled.  A few "I'll you later" with no response.  | |Once we did get it scheduled, showed up on time, and did an excellent job.

When I first contacted Jim Gasperoni of "highly rated" Conquest Tile, he complained that my Oakland County location was inconvenient for him, even though Conquest had offered its "Big Deal" to residents of Oakland County! That would have been enough to make me look elsewhere, except that I had already paid for the work to be done (an apparent drawback of Angie's Big Deals: you pay up front). Conquest's offer was for a tile backsplash for $275 (reg. $495), but we also discussed other work that required a tile expert, namely rehabbing the grout in two bathrooms. Before we arranged for the work to be done, Mr. Gasperoni graciously agreed to a change whereby he would apply the value of the backsplash offer to the grout work.
Mr. Gasperoni stated that he could only schedule the work for 9 a.m., an inconvenient time for me and more restrictive than the terms of Conquest's offer: "Appointments are to be performed during normal business hours." I reluctantly agreed to a 9 a.m. appointment. When the time came, Mr. Gasperoni was late; he got lost and had to call me for directions. He finally arrived and performed the agreed-upon work, but when he was done the grout looked awful. Mr. Gasperoni assured me that the colors would match after the grout dried.
After Mr. Gasperoni left, I noticed that he had dumped his bucket outside my garage (ignoring the storm drain about 12 feet away). A big beige stain about three yards in diameter was left on the black asphalt.
Contrary to Mr. Gasperoni's advice, the grout did not change color at all, even though I gave it two days to dry instead of just one as instructed. The grout actually looked worse than it did before any work was done! I complained to Mr. Gasperoni, and he offered to fix the grout and clean up the stained asphalt. We agreed on a day and time, and I confirmed it. When the time came, however, he was a "no show, no call." (I later learned that Mr. Gasperoni had emailed me a few hours earlier to try to move our appointment up; and followed that up with another emailed message, "Are we still on?" Mr. Gasperoni should have either kept the appointment or called me; he had my phone number.)
At this point I had lost two days to Conquest Tile, and I had no confidence in Mr. Gasperoni. It was time to cut my losses. I messaged Mr. Gasperoni (twice) asking for a refund of the $275 I had paid him, but got no response. My associate spoke with him by phone only to have him hang up on her (after again complaining about my inconvenient location). I'm now out $275 with nothing to show for it but stained asphalt and grout that's more unsightly than it was before I ever met Mr. Gasperoni. Conquest Tile gets a failing grade from me.

We purchased our own tile for backsplash. Provider said we had to have our own grout. So had to go out and purchase grout. After job was done the provider was not able to put electrical sockets back in properly. he explained how I could do it myself. I needed to call electrician and pay $90.00 for them to fix sockets

Very professional, but friendly.  Explained everything thoroughly.  Got here when he said he was going to, and got the job done within the time he said he would.  We were overall very happy with the service and with the great job he did.

It took us a while to set up a date for installation which was partially due to non-availability from our side but also because the contractor took some time -if at all- to respond to mails or voice messages. On scheduled date he arrived on time, just past 8 in the morning and after brief review, started the work. I would have appreciated and expected, if he had covered up our butcher block (=natural, oiled wood) countertop first. After he started putting thinset on the wall, we brought some foil and tape to cover and protect. The small project, about 20sqft, tile mats pre-set on a net, was finished within 4 hours, including grout. It looks OK, but in my opinion the overall finish lacks some detail.

I just felt the workmanship wasn’t good as it should have been.   It was messy and a lot of clean up for myself.

I thought it turned out well. One of the conditions was that he would provide a 3x3 or 5x5 white tile and I already knew that I was going to be buying my own tile. So there was an additional cost. I really thought they could have been a little more careful. It turned out that he did not reattach any of my faceplates correctly and because of that, he rendered a couple of my electrical outlets useless. I don't know if he pulled it off or loosened the wire but whatever it was, it was not put back correctly. If he did that, that would be something he would automatically checked to make sure they were working properly. I did not call and tell them because I'm not taking another day off work for that.

Top notch job
Jim has been on time for the entire project, he is honnest and completed the job as stated on his estimate from start to finish.  He is polite and easy to get along with.  No hidden fees.  I would recommend Jim for any type of bathroom redone because he is very good and may be one of the best around.

Thanks
