I have always went here for my dogs and liked it. My youngest dog recently had a blood disorder that if not treated would not be here. Dr Zech has been wonderful through this whole process. Very supportive and informative yet giving choices to help keep the cost down. She was truly a blessing during our time of need.

Let me first say that clinic is clean and the employees who work the desk are attentive. The issue here is one of ethics and greed. My dog is old, very old and in much pain. She has arthritis in her spine. She will live just a short time longer and it was my hope our vet would help us by giving her some mild pain medicine to extend her life. The visit started fine but when the tech found out we had given her some pain med prescribed for our puppy to help her on Thanksgiving to stop shaking and moaning, the attitude began. It was downhill from there. Not sure what America I am living in when the tech acts like we committed a heinous crime against the poor dog by giving her medicine not prescribed for her to ease her suffering. This was followed by the pretense that they could not give her a prescription without blood work and X-rays. Now ask yourself this question: what about the millions of people in this nation who can't afford $250 worth of fanciness? Are we trying to help the dog here or are we trying to sell products under the guise of ethics? The bottom line should be the dog and it's comfort not this pretense that it must have the following tests for us to know how we can treat it. Negative friends. The dog is 100 years old in human years. No matter what the X-rays show, she is going to die and very soon. If she has cancer, she will die. If she has arthritis, she will die. If this was a clinic in podunk USA with no fancy equipment, the vet would use their common sense and help the dog live it's last few days or weeks in a more comfortable state, No, not these folks. They are selling stuff wrapped up in ethical paper. A little perspective here. We pull babies down into the birth canal at 7 months old, punch a hole in their skull and suck out their brains thousands of times a year and no ethical objections are heard here about. No X-ray, CAT SCAN, MRI is ordered to see if we can save the baby. Let's help the dog without X-rays or blood work. Let the owner decide what should be done with the property that is a dog and give them the option to spend the money or not based on their personal beliefs and personal finances. One more story for you. same vet, 1 month ago put down my other dog. A procedure that takes about 15 min took almost two hours as they said they could not get the needle in its vein to administer the euthanasia drugs. I sat for 108 minutes watching as he waited to die. Interesting ethical display here which seemed inconsistent with the new found ethics a day ago. It is about $$$ folks. Don't let them kid you. Find yourself a common sense vet if you don't want to be sold products and services unnecessary for them to make a common sense decision. It is not about the customer or the pet here. It is about the $$$.

This vet, for us, was far too quick to refer for extremely expensive specialty services (nasal scope/CT scan) on a fairly old dog. She could've at least done xrays and labwork before suggesting we spend thousands for a diagnosis. I think she assumed we were dealing with cancer, which we weren't.

They are outstanding and they have gone above and beyond to help us with our animals. I will use them again in the future.
