This company, was heaven sent. My husband and I were searching for a reputable company for furnace repair. We found this entity through google; we are elated we did! The crew were extremely professional and beyond expectations. Also, the owner himself stopped by just to meet the family in which he was rendering services to. This company was a true blessing to my Husband and I, after going through a rough year with unexpected cost.

Geothermal heat system installation

Customer service was very quick and professional, they reached out to me very quickly after I put in request on here for quote and I was able to schedule a service appointment within a couple days, rather than months out like another company on here I reached out to. Service tech Nathan got here within the scheduled window and did a fantastic job installing our new Ecobee smart thermostat, and during inspection he found and fixed a number of issues left by the company who installed the system. Before he arrived our humidifier was making a lot of noise, banging like a drum solo. It's been quiet since he left and heat is working great! Very glad to have peace again. Would definitely recommend!

It took 4 hrs. of hard work and tracing down problems-but- I have worked on my own and others furnaces , before and the young man did a very good job. Furnace is running great.

Horrible they charged 150 to tell me I needed a furnace and I knew that the owner jack is arrogant don’t do business with them and the fee wasn’t talked about when the appointment was scheduled don’t go through them I’m telling you they are trash

Templin did a great job. They arrived when they said they would. Completed the job when they said they would, and I'm completely satisfied with their work.

Awful. The owner who was on the job oversized the boiler by approximately double in size. The boiler short cycles and my gas bills are very high. The owner installed a 215k but boiler because (and these are the owners words) "that's what was it the house before" I have had 3 companies estimate the boiler size for this house and the results were between 95k but and 110k but. When asked to help they came out 4 time a ultimately bringing in a service person from lochinvar (manufacturers of the boiler) and the fix was to disable 2 burners (not recommended, not code and not good for performance of boiler) and to place a temperature sensor, that was suppose to be on the inside of the boilers, on the outside of the water outlet pipe. Disgraceful installation, disgraceful customer service and poor workmanship. They just wanted me to go away. Do not hire them. I have been told that the life of my boiler could easily be half of what it should be and cost me 40-50 % more in fuel cost.

A representative of the company contacted me quite promptly after my request, and an appointment was made. The technician arrived during the time that was scheduled, brought in his tools, did his job, and answered my questions. You can't ask for more than that!

Ok. The first time to inspect the furnace they came up in the morning while I was expecting them in the afternoon. The second time to do the repairs they did show up on time. The repairs were ok, but it was a simple repair. My biggest complaint was they pushed hard for me to replace my furnace when I only wanted to repair it at that time. The service rep had only left and an hour later they were trying to sell me a new furnace, even after I made it clear I wasn't interested at this time. They were significantly cheaper than the next place I called, so I went with them. Their service calls were more expensive than other places, the repair cost OK.

It went great from beginning to end. The whole process was professional, efficient, conscientious. Price was very fair as well. Templing Heating & Cooling comes highly recommended.

Nick came out and fixed the problem in a timely manner. Nick, was awesome! He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Also, kudos to the lady that I called on Sunday to set up the appointment. She was Kind and courteous!

We had 2 "popular" heating and air conditioning companies come out to our home and tried to upsale us a whole new system. One company delayed any services by insisting they would have have another of their crew to verify the problem was. A week later he came a came up with something other than what we were told he was coming out for. He came without tools or ladder. He wanted us to sign a waver if something went wrong with another part after they finished their work, that it may take at least a week to get the parts. After more than two weeks of thier run around we were recomended to call Templin. We made an appointment and they were prompt. Templin came out and gave their opinion of the problem, air handler fan with new bearings and some duct work. Templin addressed the problem without the drama of the other two companies, as to what things could go wrong when in deed that wouldn' t the case. Templin began work immedately, picked up the nesseary parts and we where back in business for a few hundred dollars, not thousands for a whole new air condtioning system as suggested by the two "popluar" companies.

Templin Heating & Cooling installed a new heating and air condition system at my Home in Novi, MI and Central Air in the other house in Westland, MI. They did an excellent job and we are really enjoying are new heating and air condition system. The prices were very reasonable for both houses and I would recommend them to anyone who ask about them. Mr. Jack Templin came out the same day I called and was very thorough in explaining what the problem was while I watched him perform the job. He also provided helpful information as well as recommendations for how to better maintain my furnace, etc. I was happy to purchase a service plan from him and will gladly recommend this company to others.

The first visit from was Florent, who was very knowledgable about radiator boilers (mine is a pressure type with one exhaust in the basement). After checking electrical and gas connections, it was clear the electrical switcher to open gas to the furnace was not responding. Initial idea was to replace the furnace ($$$). I paid nothing at the conclusion of the visit, and was to await a response from Mr. Templin (owner). Mr. Templin then called within 1-2 days later and arranged a personal visit, as he explained steam boilers are often reparable. Having located a replacement electric switch for natural gas boilers, Mr. Templin replaced the switch, and also replace the 30 year-old thermostat for under one thousand dollars. A significant savings over a boiler replacement. They know their trade and you will be delighted.

When our 40-year-old boiler sprang a leak, it was time for a replacement. We got quotes from 4 companies. We chose Templin H&C and we are very glad we did. Not only was their price among the most reasonable, the work their installers did was excellent. They made certain it was done correctly. Naturally, it passed City Inspection without any issues. The workers were polite, knowledgeable and paid attention to details. Even their clean-up was outstanding. I would hire them again with no reservations.

Called Templin Heating and Cooling and Michelle scheduled Mr. Winston same day. Mr. Winston arrived on time (actually slightly early -- a good thing). Mr. Winton preformed a through inspection and explained to me in detail operation of furnace and potential problems that might arise with a unit as old as mine. Inspection discovered a leaking hose which was replaced and cleaned reinstalled certain sensors. Mr. Winston was very professional and did not try to sell anything more that was was needed to fix the problem. Price was very fair considering it took more than an hour to disassemble, repair, and double check work plus parts necessary to repair. Will be using them again in the future.

I couldn't have ask for a better company to go with, Mr Templin came out and did the estimate and left a very good impression on me I was sold before he left driveway . He was very professional and took his time to explain every detail and step in the process and the pricing was excellent. I'm a first time home owner and this was big to me so I really appreciate his patience with me and the time he took explain every answer for all my questions I asked , and his installers were great too very friendly and professional and efficient with their work. I was very satisfied and I have more jobs for Templin to complete so I will be having Templin repair or install all my heating and cooling issues in the near future

Got quotes from several heating and cooling companies that have been in business for at least 10 years and these represented different equipment manufacturers. I was looking for a furnace with 96% efficiency, 14 SEER A/C and an automatic humidifier (tired of adjusting the humidity manually). Most of the quotes were in the same ballpark. Interesting point, during the spring, the manufacturers offer some rebates, so I was able to upgrade to a 16 SEER A/C and a wi-fi based thermostat for only a few hundred dollars more. This was not the case just a few months earlier. Installation is very important for proper equipment operation and I am sure most of the companies I contacted would do a professional job. Templin stood out with a few differences, some astetic and some functional. For instance, they install the furnace on some sound/vibration pads, to eliminate any possible vibrations. They also use a different type and more attractive panel on the outside of the house, for the furnace intake and exhaust, eliminating what I would refer to as the elephant trunk. From a functional standpoint, they used caulk on the seams of all of the duct work they needed to rebuild for the new unit. They used drop cloths as the went in and out and cleaned up when they were done. Unit is working fine and is ultra quiet. They even completed the rebate forms for DTE and CMS. Nice Work Templin!
