Have had them out 3 times to fixed a gas fireplace in the last six months. This last time we spent $500 to have the fireplace fixed and it lasted for two weeks. Despite that they’ll never come and look at the fireplace without charging $175 to walk in the door. They’ve given us no information on warranty parts, and really just don’t seem to care. I’d go elsewhere.

Two visits and $375 for service and still not working correctly. Did not fully check out functioning before leaving.....and rude when I called to ask about this. Would not recommend them at all!

Installation and performance of our gas log was excellent. Just contacted for a 1 year maintenance. They do great work!

It went great. The workers arrived even a bit early and were done in less than an hour. I appreciate that they listened and left things ready for a future homeowner to reinstall a gas fireplace if that's what they want, but the gas line is capped off at both ends now. They had me take a look at their work before I paid them.

Job went very well. Block work in very professional, straight, and clean. Brick repair blended perfectly, and would be a challenge for anyone to find where the work was done. They were there when they were supposed to be, did the job as specified, and cleaned up when they were done. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I would have check it first before I use their service but all I can say is I will not recommend this company. They have done a terrible job. They trimmed my fireplace to make it look deep but it went wrong so I asked the crew that I want that fix and he said to me is that really serious that make you grumble about and I said to him yes I'm complaining because I spent $3000 on that and it bothers me. Then I'm thinking like how he dare even think that comment towards me. He said his going to follow up with me and just here to find out and I should go and follow up with the company I actually bought from. Terrible, terrible twice as good and this is what I paid for.

I've had two appointments with them so far: one for an estimate and one today to gas log installation.
For the estimate appointment, they were a full hour late and, when I called, the woman was curt and mildly rude saying they'll be there when they get there. Further, they didn't apologize or even acknowledge that they were late when they finally did arrive.
My install appointment was for today, to arrive between 11am and noon. At 11:26, someone called to say they'd be here by noon.
It's 12:30. I haven't heard from them, and they're not picking up their phone.
I'd sure like to change their F to a higher grade. If they ever get here.
**UPDATE**
At about 12:15, I called the cell phone from which they called me at 11:26 and got no response. I called the office number, got no response.
At 12:30, I called the store from whom I bought the logs to let them know what was going on. The manager called the Rasa owner who told him that they should be pulling in momentarily. As the manager conveyed this information to me, they did arrive at 12:40.
Since they never introduced themselves, I shall call the two men TweedleDee and TweedleDum.
When they arrived, they had no apology, no explanation, nothing to acknowledge my inconvenience. When I asked where they'd been, TweedleDee first threw out "Another job?" When I asked who called me to say they were on their way and would be there by noon, he glanced at TweedleDum, shrugged and guessed, "Traffic? We're coming from Livonia." It's a 34-minute drive from their office to my home, I make that drive weekly and I know traffic isn't an issue at that hour. He just shrugged. I told them they were rude, and, again, nothing.
They were rude throughout their visit. While I don't expect workers to be my best friend or to carry on chit-chat while they do their work, asking me how to get to the basement would have been nice rather than just wandering around my house. It made me feel like they were trying to case out the house--looking around to see if we had anything worth taking later.
The work was completed. They cleaned up after themselves. They left all the basement lights on. They did the bare minimum. TweedleDum did mention that the damper and the doors should be open when I use the fireplace and that I need to run it on high for three hours to burn off manufacturing finishes, but that was it. I never did get a call back from the cellphone nor the office.
The log set is not centered in the firebox, the gas and other lines are fully visible and not hidden under the glass medium, the pilot flame is huge and visible from across the room. Someone will have to resolve these issues, but it sure isn't going to be Rasa Construction.

The doors are NOT level and the left door and right door do not line up properly. They came back to attempt to fix the problem and did the very least they could do in their attempt to correct. Did absolutely nothing to fix and appeared to not care in the least. Appeared annoyed that we questioned the job they did.
If this was my company I'd be embarrassed.

I contacted Ray A. Gilreath, the owner of Rasa Construction, based upon a referral from his father, whom I had hired earlier to sweep my chimney. Ray came out on July 1 to give me an estimate of the work to be done. We agreed on a total price of $1200 to install the gas line and the gas log set. While he was here I asked him to give me the cost of disconnecting a gas stove in my basement and running a new gas line to my dryer, since he had indicated that the copper line to my dryer was not up to today's code. The price for that was an additional $150, so I asked him to complete that as well when he did the job. I hired Ray based upon the referral from his father and the fact that he is licensed and insured. I was also impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I contacted Ray's office after the July 4th holiday and we agreed upon Thursday, July 7 for the installation. Ray came punctually with his helper who was learning the business. They were here about four hours and installed the gas line to the firebox and ran the new gas line for the dryer. The gas line was filled with 15PSI of air to pressure test it. Ray said that the inspector would want to check the pressure when he came to inspect the installation. Early Friday morning I smelled a faint odor of gas; I asked my wife if she also smelled gas in the basement and she confirmed it. I called Rasa Construction's office at about 10:00 AM and got the answering machine with a message from Susan Gilreath, the office manager, indicating that "she was away from her desk and would return the call as soon as possible." I waited for about 30 minutes for a return call; when I did not hear from her I decided to call DTE Energy, my gas utility company. The DTE technician came in about 20 minutes after I reported the gas leak, and with his gas detection equipment, determined that there was indeed a leak at a junction of two pipes which had been worked on by Ray and his helper. He tightened the loose nut and the gas leak stopped. I then called the office of Rasa Construction once again and I got the answering machine again. I left a message that the leak had been repaired by DTE. I scheduled an inspection by my city's mechanical inspector for Monday, July 11. Ray had informed me to call his office upon completion of the inspection so he could come out and connect the gas line in the basement and connect the line to the gas logs which he was going to install. He came on July 11 to finish and he expressed to my wife(I was out of town) an apology for the gas leak; apparently his helper was supposed to make sure that all connections that they had worked on were tightened thoroughly before leaving, but one was unfortunately overlooked. Ray finished the job and explained the operation of the gas logs, pilot, and valves to my wife. My wife asked him if he could leave us a manual about the operation and maintenance of the gas log set. Ray indicated that he did not have one with him, but he would make sure that one was e-mailed to us. The manual has yet to arrive, even though I subsequently called Ray and asked about the manual again. He agreed to send one by U.S. mail. It is now July 25 as i write this and we still have not received a manual. I indicated above an overall grade of B only because of the gas leak incident and the lack of follow-up by Ray and his office manager wife. First of all, I was surprised to get an answering machine at ten o'clock in the morning on a weekday; secondly I was surprised not to get a call back sometime in the next three days to at least express their concern about the leak. Lack of follow-up on a manual is also cause for concern on my part. I would have rated Rasa Construction an overall 'A' if they had responded better and communicated better with me. Also, as I said above, I would use Rasa again, but I would hope that they will have become more responsive to the needs of their clients.

We were happy with their work installing the gas fireplace. We are confident in the work they did on the hookup and ensuring we had everything done to code.
Overall, we are happy with their outside brick repair/tuck pointing work, however, they did punch through the dry wall when drilling to take out a brick from the outside. We didn't see this at first since we have two small kids and it's constant chaos at our house. When we called them about 5 days later to let them know they said they would come look at it but it's not something they normally do anything about. So my advice would be to carefully inspect the outside AND inside of the house if you get any brick repair/tuck pointing done. I wish we would have seen this while they were here then I would have asked for a discount as compensation for the damaged dry wall.

They come to my home once a year, and they are always very punctual. If they are going to be late, they will let me know. I like that they always leave everything clean. They get the job done.
