I scheduled an appointment with Walter Zarb(owner) @ 10a. I missed a call @ 9:38a; voicemail says this call is to confirm our appointment. I returned the call @ 9:52a at which point Walter informs me that no one will be coming to my home @ 10a, and asks me about my availability the next day. I informed him that I had taken the day off in order to be available for our appointment, so he agreed to have someone come out between 12&2p. The Plumb Pro representative arrives @ around 12:15p. He is very polite. I explain that a basement drain has backed up, but has since gone down and that I want to ensure that it doesn't happen again. I show him to the clean out locations. He declines to use the clean out, because he says he can't open it with out breaking it. A good friend of mine and a subsequent plumber don't share the opinion that it cannot be opened without breaking it. So he instead used a drum machine to snake the drain itself which had a U trap which obscures the existence of a current backup. He runs water through a hose into the drain for a couple minutes. Afterwards he tells me he is confident that the drain is clear through the main sewer line. He charges me ~$250 and leaves without cleaning up all the dirty water splattered on the area around the snaked drain. 11 days later the drain backs up again soaking my carpet in two adjacent rooms. I called Walter and he scheduled someone to come out the next day between 12&2p assuring me there would be no additional charges without advance notice. Anthony arrives before 2 pm. He declines to use the clean out and shares his plan to snake the drain again. I share my concern that I don't see why taking the same action would solve the problem that was not solved last time. His only reply was that he was willing to snake the drain and then camera the sewer line for $220(after he mentioned that the market rate is $250 for camera inspection). Not wanting my basement to flood again I reluctantly agreed. So he snakes the drain again, and then he cameras the sewer line and finds a backup of water. Advancing into the water he finds that the camera will not advance further than 30ft from my house. Underwater it isn't visible what is causing the backup, but he says that it could only be roots or a collapsed pipe. He recommends excavating and replacing the sewer line up to the point where the blockage is. He quotes $5200 for the work and says that he will credit the $220 for the camera towards the work if I have him do it. I told him I would think about it. He leaves me with a backed up sewer and a total of ~$470 poorer. I called a competitor plumber. They came out, opened the clean out easily, exposing the backed up water. They used an auger machine to clear a path to the city sewer causing the exposed water to go down. Afterward he camera'd the sewer line. The camera displayed significant roots at 30ft and again at 46ft. I still need to address these larger root issues, but at least there is a clear path for the time being for $230 including clearing and cameraing. Had I called the competitor plumber first, I would have avoided my carpets being soaked and spending $470 for ineffective service and no value. Walter and his team were always very polite to their credit, but they were ineffective at addressing my problem. Subsequently, I scheduled an appointment with Walter to quote a complete sewer line replacement from my house to the city sewer as an option for addressing the root problem. He scheduled an appointment for the following day. I took off work, and he decided not to call or show up for the appointment. I will not be doing business with Plumb Pro again as it is clear they do not value my time, or the integrity of their word. They also lack the tools and/or methodology to effectively and efficiently diagnose and deal with the issue I encountered.

It went very well. Anthony and Steve were very professional these young men came in and handled their business. They explained to me what the problem was and why my drain needed to be snaked out. It was because of the tree roots and what I needed to do to prevent my drain from being clogged. I'm glad I called Plumb Pro, because I don't think I would've had a good nights sleep with that stuff in my basement. Thanks Anthony and Steve ?

Walter was very professional and knowledgeable. Did not try to upsell us. By far the most reasonable price for jetting received and will be using him in the future.

My basement sump pump ceased to function. I called Plumb Pro at at 10:00 AM and a plumber was at my house within an hour. The response time can only be called outstanding. The work was done professionally. I considered the fee to be a bit pricey. However, given the response time and the professional service, i can not complain.

Walt was very professional and thorough. He answered my call immediately and was able to come out the next day at my convenience. As soon as he assessed the job and explained it thoroughly to me at my home, he had his team on the job with the right parts to complete it. He returned the next day to finish up one detail. Walt and his crew were professional and very tidy. I would definitely call them again.

I've used them several times. They are very quick. If I have a problem they're out that day so they have prompt service, their technicians are all very friendly and they do a good job. I don't have any problems with anything they fixed and their prices are really good.

Our sump pump failed on a rainy night and water was beginning to seep into our basement. Within ten minutes of calling Plumb-Pro, Walt scheduled an emergency visit to replace the sump within a couple of hours. A plumber arrived at 10 pm with a new sump pump in hand and everything was done by 10:30.
The next day I noticed a slow leak in the pipe and Walt came out to fix it.
This is a family run business that treats its customers well.

The stopped drain was the result of the Floods in LIvonia due to heavy rains (1,100 homes had basement flooding). The flooding consisted of clear rain water. After the situation, the main drain in the laundry room (basement) was stopped up. Efforts to snake it out were unsuccessful. The guys operating the machinery said that the possibility existed the floor would have to be dug up to find the problem and that would be an $1,800 minimum cost. The owner stopped by the next day and put the camera down the toiled to the blocked secftion of pipe and discovered there were no holes or crackes in pipe. They "hydroblasted" the pipes clean. He said they were completely blocked with sediment and 40 years of grease buildup, and the hydoblasing removed it all. He said we would be good for a long time to come. The price for the blasing was $340 in addition to the drain cleaing charge of $95. I was happy the cement did not have to be torn up. I got a quote on some other plumbing work I need and the price was very reasonable.
