Ken did an awesome painting of our laundry, kitchen, dining area and 2 bathrooms. He was very maticulous and treated our home like he was painting in his own home. Ken gave a two color estimate for walls and ceiling in three rooms. His estimate was better than two other companies. The paint used was better quality than the other companies. He was through. Everything was covered wall to wall. A few small repairs were needed. The appearance was uniform when completed. He was on time each day. He has an excellent work ethic. He did ask questions to be sure the work was as desired. The cleanup was through. The experience was positive.

Ken, the owner and his brother Mark, did a great job. Both guys are very professional and clearly know and do their trade well. I got a quote from Ken in early March 2021. Ken was prompt and did a good job understanding the scope of work. Ken promptly answered questions I had and overall communication was excellent. After getting 4 quotes, I decided on Newcoat based on Angi reviews, a decent price and my subsequent interaction with Ken. The house was painted in early June (on schedule as I had other projects needing completion first.). Right away I knew I had made a good choice, as Ken's eye for detail and his desire to ensure I was happy with the work were evident. Ken replaced several trim / fascia boards at no additional cost and used only premium Sherwin Williams (Emerald) paint. The weather did not cooperate very well, but Ken did not rush to complete the job. Ken and Mark also patched some significant holes in my garage walls and did a great job making the garage look really nice. It's been a month since the work was completed, and we are extremely happy with the work. We would definitely use Newcoat for future paint projects!

Ken and his brother Mark did an excellent job patching settling cracks and painting the interior of my home. Ken is a stickler for detail, does an excellent job, and his prices are more than fair. I have used Newcoat Painting several times in the past for exterior painting and each time my experience was excellent. Highly recommend Newcoat Painting.

Ken and Mark are awesome. If I had to describe them in one word it would be “thorough”. Fortunately I am able to use as many words as I like, so I will gladly add professional, friendly, detailed, polite, honest and integrity. In short, you can’t ask for more. They simply exceeded my expectations and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone wanting to add “wow” value for your house. The experience was seamless and I know these two worked diligently to make my house watertight and up to modern standards.

Lowest bid of painters contacted. Scheduled work promptly. Work performed in one day with minimal disruption. We were very pleased with the work.

Great as usual. He did the same thing 9 years earlier and it held up well but we wanted it painted again. The price was slightly more than 9 years ago but with better quality paint. Great job again.

Ken, the owner of Newcoat Painting, did an outstanding job painting the exterior my home. I could not be happier. Ken is a true professional. He is responsive and on time. He pays attention to the smallest detail. He repaired cracked and damaged wood strips on the side of my garage door before painting them. The price was very reasonable. Ken & worker did a great job! I had a few specific requests, trim be brushed & rolled, high impact areas be double coated, and garage door be sprayed. Ken met these requests, and went beyond them in several areas. The job went very smooth and finished timely. I would consider using Newcoat Painting again on future jobs

Ken and his brother came for the job. This was the 2nd time I used them. I waited to write this review, as I wanted to see how the exterior paint held up. If there was a grade better than an A, I would give it to him. He is so professional and personable. He really does go out of his way to make sure you are happy. My interior "dark" wall (we had 2 of our 4 living room walls painted a dark plum color) took 4 coats to completely cover it. Ken came back 2 days later to look at the walls and ensure there were no light spots. He touched up a couple areas he found (we didn't see any light spots) at no charge. His office is in Livonia and we are in Dexter, west of Ann Arbor and he didn't charge me for this. He just did it. I would hire him for any painting job. The exterior has held up extremely well after almost 2 years of Michigan weather. Hire Ken!!!

Newcoat Painting is a thoroughly professional team.  Our living and dining rooms look great.  Ken and Alec arrived at 8:00 a.m. as they had promised, moved large furniture out of the way, and covered everything with drop cloths and plastic.  They repaired damaged places in the ceiling and wall, and set about painting.  By four p.m. they had applied two coats everywhere and it all looked wonderful.  I was impressed that at various times they consulted with my wife and me when they were not sure of what we wanted or how we wanted it done.  They cleaned and straightened everything before they left.  We can recommend Newcoat without reservation.

The project went very well. Ken and his brother, Mark, were great to work with. They were on-time, very friendly, did what they promised and more. Ken is very thorough and professional; he is very detail oriented and cares about the quality of his work. He found problems with old and rotted wood that were missed by a construction professional we had hired just weeks prior in order to repair what we recognized as problem spots. Ken consulted with us about these problems; it was clear some boards needed to be replaced. He did this for us at a reasonable price. The finished work looks very good. We would certainly hire him again.

Ken and crew did a fantastic job making an 80 year old house look great.  He has a wonderful eye for knowing where to give extra attention to particular areas to really make a overall difference in appearance.  They skim coated various boards to give a smoother look (and also rolled on extra paint).  I showed Ken six shutters stored in the garage, which were looking very dirty, old and decrepit.  He took them home, cleaned and painted them and they looked almost new after he installed them. The windowsill in my garage was so rotted out and ugly I couldn't bring myself to take a "before picture".  Ken repaired and replaced part of it, turning it to the best looking windowsill of the house.
It's relatively easy to power wash, tape and paint spray a house. Newcoat Painting went far, far beyond that which was especially what I wanted/needed for my older house.

Excellent job.  Cleaned up and took care of plants in the area.  Very concerned about my satisfaction -would hire him ( and have) for other jobs in the future.  

IWent very well, except for second coat on the deck. He closed up early due to bee sting and I jinished the final coulple  of hours. No slam on him, He swelled up like a baloon.
