Outstanding. I actually found this company because the owner of the company is in a chapter called Business Network International and is also known as BNI and the owner of MacFarland Painting Inc was in one group and I was in a another group and that is how we met. And when I found out about their services, My husband and I had purchased a condominium where we're moving to and we need a work done in that condo unit painting done, crown molding, doors. We have multiple checklist. We needed a wall to be knock down etc etc. Over the last 3 years they had done all of the work for us and they did an extraordinary job. I learned about his work and what his company did and that is how I hired them. And I referred them to many many people.

Very good. The workers showed up as scheduled (after 2 cancelled appointments due to work backup). They were friendly, professional and they did a great job. They discussed all questions and requests at any time. Appreciate their hard work during some incredible heat!!!

I hired Macfarland Painting for an exterior paint job after receiving 6 other quotes. The reason I went with this company because of the detailed quote that was provided along with their credentials. However, I regret my decision based on several issues. First, the day the worker came to power wash my home I would learn that several obvious areas were missed during my initial quote and my new price would increase by $500. Though not happy I went ahead and agreed to the new price and work begin 2 days later (delayed due to rain). On the 2nd day I was informed that the shutters I wanted painted could not be due to the color that was selected. I decided that I would purchase new shutter so, the price was adjusted. The final issue I had is with the final outcome of my paint job. One the 3rd day of painting the painters "completed" my job but I was unaware until I received the final bill. At this point I contacted the company and was informed the job was complete. This is when I informed the receptionist that I was under the impression the workers would come back to touch up areas that were missed. The next day a worker came out to "correct" the area of concern but, basically told me it was a waste of time due to the condition of the wood trim. I could accept this if I was informed ahead of time that the condition of the wood would not allow for it to be painted. However, during my initial contact with this company I mentioned that I wanted all damaged wood replaced and all the wood trim painted along with the doors and shutters. I was also informed that the paint job would probably last approximately 3 years AFTER the job was completed. My whole issue with this company is I feel that if there was an issue discovered during the initial stages of you painting my home I should have been informed so that I could have made a decision how to move forward before the job was completed (I was told the areas of concern could be corrected to my satisfaction at a cost). Maybe if I was informed that the wood was not salvageable, I would have had it replace! But, of course not after the job is "complete", Needless to say I am very unhappy with the final product from this company and am going to be looking at having it redo in the Spring!

I can't say enough positive things about this company and their work. From the owner John, to all of the employees, Steve, Garrett and everyone that did such a phenomenal job on my house, thank you!! They redid my fireplace, painted my entire house, painted my kitchen cabinets, did the backsplash and added a wine rack. I absolutely love the final results! Thank you again for your professionalism and attention to detail!!

Service was top notch from salesman and especially the crew lease Mike who oversaw and completed some of the work at my house. The kitchen cabinets came out exceptional, and the room painting was flawless. I will definitely use again in the future , as well as recommend to friends and neighbors.

Not enough time was aloted to do the work. The young men did not have experience and knowledge of painting. Ceiling to wall lines wavy. At corners where two colors came together line not straight (quote said they would be taped to have straight lines). New base boards and quarter round were painted without being sanded and when touched paint flakes off (quote said they would be sanded). Used base board paint (semi gloss) to touch up wall (satin). Some areas didn't have two coats of paint. A terrible job all around.

Overall, our experience with MacFarland Painting went very well! They were in constant contact with us throughout the entire process and answered any questions we had. We were very pleased with how the painting turned out and their eye for detail, especially on our 1890s Victorian home. Weather did extend the project longer than we anticipated, but that was mostly out of their control. I would highly recommend MacFarland Painting and we will be using them again in the future.

Painters Eli and Ian were outstanding but after Interior paint was applied the project mgr agreed there was read through on walls. I was told it would cost me an extra $975 to apply an additional coat of paint. I objected since MacFarland painting specified the type of paint and they did not mention in the quote, or contract, or when the job started that there was a possibility of extra coat and costs. I finally settle with owner on paying $375 for roll painting and I finished additional brush work myself. Exterior was not completed so the following week after waiting 2 days , I was told by project mgr who was on another job that "he would get to me when he gets to me". However the office mgr was fantastic and came up with a solution to finish the job that same day. I gave a overall 'C' grade because painters and office mgr were great. I would give Project manager and contract process an "F".

We used McFarland Painting to paint the exterior of our house. Overall team was professional and courteous, however quality of work was sub par. The crew rushed to finish job in 1 day, and left with numerous touch ups required. Old paint was not sanded or scrapped as detailed in the contract, and in certain areas they obviously painted right over dirt, cobwebs and debris. I also question weather 2 coats were applied as detailed in contract. Caulk around windows as haphazardly replaced (if replaced at all), and paint on interior of window panes was not neatly or consistently trimmed. Requested follow up to address touch ups and additional work was minimal. We did a lot of research to find the right painting company and ultimately choose McFarland based on reputation and pricing that presented good quality and value. In hindsight, we paid for mid-level pricing but got low end quality. Not sure how the level of service received would differ from other companies that quoted a price roughly 1/2 of what we ultimately paid McFarland.

MacFarland Painting made this a great experience from the first phone call to the final walk through.  The office staff was courteous and knowledgeable, the estimator was prompt and efficient, and the crew who came out to do the work were polite and professional.  In 3 days, they transformed our tired spaces into fresh, current ones.  They were timely, neat, and very considerate of our property.  We are looking forward to our next project with them in the winter.

they had to come out at least 3 times to do the work.  They were supposed to scrap the old paint that was peeling and did not do a very good job, they had to come back and redo.  You could see the old paint, did not cover very well with the new paint.  All the windows had spray paint on them.  I thought they were supposed to cover the windows??  left old caulking around the house and nails.

All in all I was not very happy.  The funny thing about all this, was that my neighbor had watched them paint and knew that  I would not be happy and would have them come back.

They had also come into my home without my approval, I was not home when they were painting the house, I asked if I need to be there and they said 'no'.  when I got home someone had been in my house because I found tape in the bathroom and the toilet seat was up.  There are no males living in my home.   I was very disturbed about it and they acted like it wasn't an issue.

The work was on the sloppy side. We had small paint splatters on the fixtures, our shower curtain, floor and the edging had spots where the tape didn't protect the baseboard tile;  so we have to try to scrape all that off.  They also missed a big strip on our door so it has two different whites going on now and we have no matching paint to fix that (having one side of the door painted was $30 alone).  The paint they used  on the walls was flat which is already wiping off (didn't think I'd need to tell professionals to use a satin or semi-gloss in a bathroom). They also didn't repair a small hole in the drywall - not that it was promised -I have just had painters do very small wall spackling for us before.

Also, while my husband and I could've communicated better, I had already paid them a deposit, and the painter charged my husband for the whole invoice on the day of, so, I had to deal with getting a refund. However, they did send me a check for the refund after I followed up.

We also didn't appreciate that there was no shoe protection for our brand new carpet. We don't even wear shoes in our own home and the painter was walking on our carpet in his work shoes. He also left dirty, rusty supplies in our utility sink and a dirty sweatshirt at my kitchen table - just seemed unprofessional.

On the plus side, the office staff was nice - just not what I'd expect for $380 to paint a very small bath.

In the end all went well. The crew showed up and started the work as scheduled. At the end of the day, I had to point out many areas that needed to be completed. They came back the next business day and completed all of the work as contracted.

The house looks great and I'm pleased with the results.

At first I thought they did an amazing job.  But I recently had tile work done after they painted and when I was moving the washer and dryer back into my bathroom I realized the shutoff valves had leaked, the house was my grandmothers that I had gotten when she died, so water leaked from the shutoff valves and it had sat on the painted surface for probably 3 seconds and the paint wiped off.  When I had them come out and give me an estimate the guy was told that the bathroom had an oil based paint on the walls, a high gloss paint, and I was told they would do what needed to be done.  I also informed the painters about the high gloss paint in the bathroom and since they were the experts I thought they would do whatever preparations that needed to be done.  Well they didn't. They did not prep the walls for the new paint to adhere to old paint.  Like I said this was a few month, about 5 months after they painted, so you would think the paint cured.   Well when I sent an email I was told basically they left me enough paint to fix it.  So I replied by asking them a question and they had never responded back.  The question I asked them was if it says on the gallon of paint that if you are painting over a semi or high gloss paint you should prep the wall so the new paint can stick, why didn't the painters know that?  They were informed before the started the job that it was a oil based high gloss paint,  I would not recommend them to paint anyone's house.  I made the mistake of recommended them but that was before my problem.  So if anyone needs a painter please make sure they do the necessary prep work if you have a semi or high gloss paint your painting over

We used MacFarland Painting 5 months ago to paint the entire interior of our home and install and paint new baseboards -- except in the 2 bathrooms which had not yet been renovated.  We brought MacFarland back once the bathrooms were ready to go.  The work done, the attention to detail, and the outcomes were excellent, just as we expected.
