You are considered prey to this locksmith business. I called the locksmith for a qoute, and the prices were higher than the dealerships; I complained. I did not agree the charges and decided I did not want the service. The locksmith called me back and stated "please allow me to speak with my boss," a routine it seems. He places me on hold for a few minutes and of course, returns back stating his "boss agreed with the dealership price of $125.00." A big different from the quote earlier of over two hundred dollars for making a car key. We agreed on the price. After the job was completed and I quote " I am the boss call me anytime." It appears honestly is the policy for this businessman. I conduct my business afairs straight on, and i like honest businessmen and Companies. I thought of seniors calling this business and becoming victims, and over charged. No thank you! My total list of complaints: Professional: Two men arrived unprofessially dress is concerning. Arrival time: Over 30mins late

I phoned Livonia Lock & Key on Wednesday and scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 12:30pm.  At the time of the call I told Dan there was a coupon from Angie's List that I wasn't able to print due to my printer not working at the moment, Dan said that would not be a problem.  On Thursday at 12:40pm, already 10 minutes late, I received a phone call from the locksmith telling me he would be at my house at 1pm... he arrived at 1:10pm... 40 minutes late.  Once Bob arrived he was professional, courteous, and completed everything quickly and in a respectful manner.  When Bob gave me my bill I forgot to mention the coupon, I called the shop shortly after to ask for the very small credit and spoke with Dan, again.  At that point Dan informed me they would not be giving me the credit, as the owner said he would not give it without the printed piece of paper.  I reminded Dan of what he told me the day prior, and, of course, he spun what he had said to make it work for Livonia Lock & Key.  My question is why would an owner of a company want one bad recommendation over a flimsy piece of paper?  His employee told me one thing, and the owner completely went back on it...
So, no... based on lack of professionalism, and honesty I would not recommend Livonia Lock and Key.

Amazing, quick and professional service.  He was in and out, and all my doors are now on one key.  I would recommend to anyone.

The person who answered my call was courteous and answered my questions well, promising to send someone out within the hour. The technician arrived i/2 hour sooner than promised and finished in about 10  minutes. He was knowledgeable about my options and explained them to me.
I chose not to rate the price as I have no basis for comparison.

I contacted the company, told the gentleman what happened. He informed me of the price, and that someone would be there in a half hour to unlock my door.

In just under a half hour, the locksmith pulled up in a well marked white van with the company logo painted on it. Not a magnetic sign which I found reassuring.

Bob greeted me very professionally, asked for identification and informed me the charge. The price was exactly the same as quoted by the gentleman from the store. Within a few minutes my house was unlocked. I paid with my charge card,  received a business card, and the receipt.

Bob was friendly, and when the transaction was concluded, he pleasantly told me to have a nice day. I think I will, now.

I was very pleased with Livonia Lock and Key, and if I find the need again, I know who to call.

Livonia Lock & Key were great - they arrived on time when they said they would be here.  One part was missing from the box so they had to return to the shop, but they were quick and got the job done.  Have recommended LL&K to family and will definitely call them again.

It went as well as can be expected. The locksmith was courteous, professional and punctual.

He noticed while driving away that we were having a problem with a key in the front door. He came back and fixed it with graphite, then gave me the rest of the tube of graphite. He was friendly and worked efficiently.

They were able to come to my home within 2 hrs. of my call to help me with a difficult situation.  He was very professional, and helpful. I feel that the charges were reasonable.  I will definitely use them again, and recommend their services.
