Mike and his team did a great job with testing mastic and then removing asbestos containing tiles from my basement. Price was great, the work was done well, and Mike communicated well throughout the process.

Mike and his team are professionals through and through. I hired them a few years back when we redid our kitchen floors due to the age of our house. Lets fast forward to today, we are in the closing stages of selling our house and needed to get a small amount of asbestos out before close. Mike made sure that the job was done before we went to the table. He squeezed us in, and even though it was a quick job, no corners were cut. If you ever need anything done that requires asbestos removal, Mike and his team at Greene Environmental is the way to gl.

We were connected to Mike through Home Advisor after discovering that the home we plan to purchase had some asbestos wrapping around pipes in the basement. The wrapping was in questionable condition, so we wanted a professional to do an air quality sample before we finalized our offer. Mike was very quick to respond, spent a great deal of time with me on the phone explaining the asbestos testing process, and was available to conduct the test within a tight time frame. Additionally, he went above and beyond by going back to the property the next day to redo a portion of the test after we learned it had not been done the way we had discussed previously. Overall, Mike was extremely professional, communicative, and honest, all qualities you want in someone you're trusting to determine if your home is safe or not. He made a very stressful process much easier.

Mike was great. He came quickly and gave me a thorough quote and scheduled the work in a timely manner. The guys who did the work were also nice, efficient and quick. I had a great experience overall.

We hired Greene Environmental Services to do vermiculite abatement in our attic. My husband and I did quite a bit of research on the topic and on abatement contractors. After speaking with Mike, we decided that he was the most knowledgable, and seemed to be the best for the job. Unfortunately, that ended up not being true. To start, I sent in my 50% deposit by check, which very quickly cleared from my account, I expected to receive a confirmation from Mike that he received my deposit, and a potential start date, but I received nothing. It wasnt until I contacted him a week later that I was able to get confirmation on the check and a possible start date for the project. We were planning to move out of our home while the abatement was going on, so we needed a few days notice, so when we hadnt heard anything in the days leading up to the project, I contacted Mike who said the project would be delayed. This happened twice. As far as I know, all went well with the abatement process. Mike did keep me updated daily on the progress. When I returned home after the project was completed, my house was a disaster. Every doorway trim had paint peeled off of it, walls were dented, scraped, and dirty, our hardwood floor had a chip in in, our outside faucet handle was broken, nails and staples were left in the wall, large nails and screws were found outside on the ground, blinds were taken down and not put entirely back together, a screen were not placed back in the window frame, ceiling tiles were left out of place, our washer was moved and not put back, our water valve was turned off and not turned back on, our guest bathroom floor was soaked with a sopping wet towel pushed up against the bathtub, and there were water stains on our hardwood as well (this ended up drying up, but it would have been nice to know what it was before seeing it and thinking our floors were ruined). I immediately called Mike to make him aware of these issues. He offered to come out Monday (this was Friday) morning to address my concerns. He did, however, become very defensive, making excuses for his workers and saying that it was hot in the attic, it was a long week, etc. When he came out on Monday, he did address some of the concerns- put the ceiling tiles back, took the staples out of the walls, and fixed the faucet. On the proposal, it does say they are not responsible for paint damage, but I do feel that the damage to our walls was extensive and the result of carelessness. At the beginning of the project, I asked Mike to take before and after pictures of the abatement so I could send them into the Zonolite Trust. He said this would be no problem. A couple weeks after the project, I still had not received the pictures. I contacted Mike, who eventually told me the worker who had the pictures no longer worked for him, so he would be unable to send them. I did eventually get the photos, but the entire process was beyond frustrating and extremely unprofessional. I definitely would not recommend Greene Environmental Services.
