Craig was on time but it went down hill after that, he wanted half the money up front, which I made the mistake of giving it to him. None of the walls were square, his construction of the 2x4 walls and dry wall was not done right, there was no full header on the walls he put in small pieces of wood instead. None of the walls were straight which needed to be reconstructed so the square shower stall could be installed. The little bit of plumbing that he did was wrong, the drywall taping and mudding was very poor. There were so many mistakes he tried to cover up by adding mud on top of mud on top of more mud. The sanding was bad there were to many flawed areas. The door was not installed correctly, twice. He put in some electrical boxes but they were not flush with the walls and one of them he used the incorrect box which caused a large hole in the drywall to repair. In the end we had to let him go and hire some one else to finish the job, most of work he did had to be ripped out and redone.
Description of Work: He was hired to build a bathroom around the drains that were already in place in the basement, construct the walls with 2x4s and drywall, install shower stall, install toilet and sink and hook up the plumbing to fixtures, and install some electrical outlets.

Craig was on time and did a satisfactory job. I was a bit concerned about being a one man show and basically appearing to be working under the table. As a condominium manager I have to be careful about contractors and while the job was done I didn't feel comfortable.
Description of Work: He replaced some rotted wood trim on outside of house, caulked and painted.

We have used Handy Husband before (before Angie's List) and will contact him again should more work be needed.
Description of Work: Craig came out and gave us an estimate to tear the drywall off a room and re-drywall. This included mudding the drywall seams. The estimate was reasonable and the work was scheduled. A week later he came out and helped move furniture out of the room, spread out cloth to protect the wood floors. The door openings were covered to prevent drywall dust from leaving the room. The drywall was quickly removed and thrown into a dumpster. The area was cleaned up before proceeding to the next step. Even where drywall was hauled out to the dumpster from the house the area was inspected to ensure no drywall or nails was left laying about. Some electrical work was done by another contractor. The drywall was obtained and put up. Plastic corners were used so no rusting of the metal would show up years later. One thing to note he applied more screws to help hold up the drywall than just the average amount. Two layers of drywall mudding was applied and sanded.
