It went well.  Matt has a wealth of knowledge about plants and he was very patient explaining how we should set up the landscaping.  I kind of left the whole thing in his hands and he did a wonderful job.  There were a few things I would like to have done differently but on the whole is was a good job.

Mat was very prompt in contacting us. Provided great deign ideas. We talked to 4 other providers - none of whom provided good plans.  Our project was a challenge. We had cut down a big area of weed trees and scrub. That left essentially a marshy /wet terrain. His plan has elevated to land, provided  improved drainage and an attractive landscape. So far a  dozen new trees are taking root.  Can't tell you how excited we are to have a new back yard.

Matt is very good at keeping in touch with details and work schedules. We recommend him to anyone with a

project that requires knowledge of trees, terrain, and esthetics.   Although we collaborated with Matt- in retrospect we  probably would have a great result had we just turned all the decision making over to him.

Can't say enough nice things about the process and result.

Matt was great. He designed and installed a beautiful stone circle around a large maple tree in our front yard. It's now the focal point of our yard and given the house great curb appeal. In addition, Matt took the leftover stone and dirt and created a border along our front garden that complements the stone circle. We're very pleased with his work and highly recommend him.

Matthew, the owner was so pleasant, we almost forgot why he was there.  He quoted me a price slightly higher than what I had budgeted and when I told him how much I had he offered to do the complete job for the amount of money I had, but of course I felt his quote was so reasonable I refused his kind offer.  I will definitely use him again because he did a great job and gave me some excellent information on when to trim my shrubs, how to care for my plants, all free at no extra charge.

"Greenstone later secured a final project amount of $4000 for its services and created an English-style cottage garden including warm-color pastels in the front yard and cool-color pastels in the back yard. It was a truly enjoyable experience."

Matt spent a lot of time talking to me about what plants/trees I liked and what my vision was for how the front of the house would look. He then prepared a site plan and written estimate for my o.k. listing the types of plantings he would use. When he came out to the house to begin the work, we went over the plan again and made some minor changes before he purchased the plant material. He moved a couple of existing plants that I wanted to keep, took out a huge overgrown bush, enlarged the planting beds and prepared them with topsoil. The whole process beginning to end took two days and it has looked beautiful ever since. I am very pleased with the professionalism and creativity of Matt Ripper and his willingness to work with me to get some beautiful specimen plants on a tight budget. He was very creative in his use of color and also the use of less expensive varieties to fill in around the more expensive plants to give me more bang for the buck. He also gave me very detailed instructions on taking care of the plants since I opted to have the work done in July. Matt was prompt, and courteous and didn't leave me with a mess to clean up for which I was very grateful! I am extremely pleased with the work Greenstone Landsculpting did for me and I have recommended them highly to my friends and family.

"Greenstone specializes in small home projects often including existing plants or a careful thinning of the existing plants and then the addition of new plants to balance the design. Color, height, and texture go a long ways in limited spaces."

All of them were very helpful, prompt, and professional. They were well within my budget.

"The actual cost was around $2,500...I think an extra zero creeped in on this client estimate."

From the beginning, I knew I selected the company that would provide me the best service. Matt worked with me on design ( I changed my mind a few times) and had no problems adapting the changes I requested. I should say before I go on that I had planned on having it done the year before but my daughter decided to get married so the funding was moved to that. I told Matt and he had no problems with it and call me back the following year to reschedule. He arrived as scheduled. He recommended changes along the way to improve on the design. While he was working and still today, we have people stopping to compliment us on the yard and requesting his number. I give Greenstone an A+ and have recommended the company many times.

I first learned of this company from a flyer that offered landscape renovation and updating to improve the value of my house. I wasn't looking to have everything torn out and redone - just make improvements that would bring things up to date. I met Mr. Ripper to discuss the problems I was having and what I was looking to change. The thing that really sold me (on top of the great price he was offering) was the fact that he was willing to do as little or as much as I needed him to. After he drew up the plans and we agreed on them he made it clear that if I wanted to complete parts of the project to save money I was more than willing to do that. He was very flexible and dependable, kept to the budget, always kept in contact with me to let me know when he'd be there or if there would be a rain delay. He did great work and truly enjoyed what he was doing. I've received many compliments and I would highly recommend this company.
